My Dad's New Toy

How can a '94 Chevy Corsica be a new toy you ask? Well it's the car my father brought home yesterday to replace the '92 Ford Escort. Let me tell you he's proud of it, even though its just as much a clunker as Bernie the Beretta.

It has power doors and windows much to his amusement and it has a working radio. The radio on the Escort died many years ago. Now he not only has a radio but a tape player as well. He's already mentioned getting out the Abbott and Costello (and I don't mean Elvis) tapes.

I have a feeling my dad's going to be in the garage a lot in the coming days.

I wish I could get that excited about something.

At least I'll be able to hear music when I'm in the car with the parents now. That will save some battery life on the mp3 player. And that will save them some hearing loss from when I sing along with what's playing on my mp3 player.
