Another Saturday Night

Another Saturday Night...And I Ain't Got Nobody

It was a nice day today. Oddly enough I still haven't had that leave me alone weekend, and I might not have that any time soon, but my nerves are calm and I'm enjoying myself. I just hate typing an entry on a Saturday Night at 10:30.

I had most of the day as "Me" time, which I needed. I've started reading another book. This is the 3rd this week, which is great for me, cos I've been sluggish lately.

The best part of today was going out to eat. Yeah, when food is the only excitement in your life, you know its bad. We went to Boston Beanery and had appetizers and sandwiches. Yum! They make the best curly fries there. Mmmmm Mmmmm good, except when you are on a diet!

Then we did a bit of shopping. I now have half a friendship bracelet! Woot! I never had one of these when I was in school and they were the in thing. Feel my pain. I was so unloved. I'm still unloved, but I don't care as much now. Anyway I have a Happy Bunny freindship bracelet that says "Hi, Cram It!" I love Happy Bunny! I also have a cute little sweattype outfit from my favorite store, Dots.

So all in all, a good day, and tomorrow is going to be just as nice. I'm finally going to see Delovely and we're going to Cold Stone Creamery for ice cream afterwards. Mmmmm. Yes, the way to this girl's heart is through her stomach.

Pieces Of You

Pieces of You

Here's a brand new meme that I found care of Angelbaby. No, its more of a game...of sorts..but anyway...this is the inspiration for the week

"Beginnings are scary. Endings are usually sad, but it's what's in the middle that counts. So, when you find yourself at the beginning, just give hope a chance to float up. And it will."

Beginnings fill you with fear and anxiety for what is to come, sometimes even excitement. The start of new things, unchartered ground, new chapters in life and the start of the many cirlcles that make up life. The many doors of life opening to new things that will shape and form your life and your personality. Beginnings are the new, the second and third chances, renewals and opportunities..

Endings are the inevitable. Nothing ever lasts forever. A moment slips by... A day turns to night...another year fades..friendships come and go...lovers slip from your grasp...children grow older and leave the nest. Endings make you stronger. When sadness is overcome, a better person can emerge, one that has learned something more about life and love.

The middle is what you make of all those beginnings and endings. It's the wonderful rollercoaster ride of experience. It's all the good moments and bad. The middle is the result of our choices and how we deal with them. The middle is the pathway on the journey that branches off to other new beginnings and other endings. The middle is where learning and growth takes place. The middle is life at it's best....

So take all the beginnings...savor the excitement, the fear and the anxiety that they bring....Grow and learn and cope with the endings, for those are a natural part of life...But experience the middle and let those moments build your life....don't let the middle slip away...because the middle is "YOU" at your best..

And when you stand at a new road...staring down at your own beginning...think of the middle and all that there is to experience there, before you reach the end.

Happy Anniversary

Happy Anniversary

Who is the couple that I'm wishing a wonderful day to, you ask? What celebrity couple do I actually adore?

The answer is simple

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

John and Kirsten Lodge

They are wedded 36 years today. Quite an accomplishment and something I have a hard time fathoming. My parents have been married 52 years and that's something I marvel at, and my parents are mere mortals like you and me. Lodgey is in the spotlight. A celebrity that's faced with tempations at least 3 to 4 months out of the year.(I'm sure there are women out there that would gladly give themselves over to him if he'd just nod or crook his little finger in their direction...I know I would) Staying married that long is quite an accomplishment. Kudos to both of them, for making a good marriage.

It takes a lot of love to deal with the career path John has chosen. And from the looks of the two of them in that photo, there is a lot of love there.

They have two children, Kristian and Emily, both in their 30's. (OK, I don't feel so old now) Both of which daddy has written songs for. (Emily's Song from Every Good Boy Deserves Favour and Carry Me from Natural Avenue) Lucky kids.

There's not much more I can say about the Lodge family, except that I wish John and Kirsten as many more years of love as they are allowed in the grand scheme of things. I hope that those years are full of good health and that their children are always there with love and support for them.

I wish them all the joy in the world and hope that today is just as wonderful for them as that day in 1968 when they said their vows. They are truly a special couple, because they are two truly special people.

Many happy years ahead...LODGEY AND KIRSTEN!

I love ya both....and wish you well...

Happy Birthday MoodyMistress

Everyone needs to go and wish MoodyMistress a happy birthday today. I'm hoping she gets my present today. If not, I'll ruin one of her surprises and post this here as my b-day wish to one of my best moody friends.

Hope your b-day is Moodiful and Costelloful and a whole bunch of other nice things.

The Music Whore says this and because her part time job is being the High Priestess of the Church of Hayward, she deems it so, because she asked the blonde god. (and he said it was good)

The Music Whore is also a part time follower in the Church of Lodge. He too says that a Moodiful and Costelloful day is in order.

You can't disregard the voices of the Gods. (Why? Cos one of them might start singing Words You Say at any minute)

Hope you have a great day, filled with cake and ice cream...

Oh and not forgetting

Dreaming My Dreams

It's been a long time since I had a dream with my Moody Men in it. I don't know if it's because I've been in a funk about things or if it's the fact I've been listening to Bernie Barlow's Golden CD as much as I was listening to the Time Traveller Box set.

It doesn't matter though I had a dream with my Moodies in it. Can I go back to bed now? I mean these dreams are few and far between, so I'd like to enjoy this one, even though it doesn't involve any snogging of any of my honey bunny pookie pies.

I don't know how it came to be but I was sitting either back stage or on the bus with the guys after they finished a show. I recall seeing Norda Mullen (the flautist) and I'm pretty sure I was chatting with Bernie Barlow (my car's namesake) when John came by discussing tour dates for next year.

I recall the dates July 1 and the 5th were mentioned.

That's when I asked Justin what venue these dates were for. I was stoked about the idea of a July 1st show, cos it was the day before my birthday. I know I was muttering that it shouldn't be at Post Gazette Pavillion. (Starlake in my dreams)

That's when someone, mentioned that Pittsburgh would be the 5th of July rather than the 1st. (which was a Saturday in my dream) I moaned and said I'd have to ask for the day off. I was worried about something that was a year in advance! Cos it had to be! Why you ask? Because I was sitting with the band after a concert in this dream! I don't recall the Moody Blues ever playing Pittsburgh twice in one year.

Well, it was a dream, so anything could happen, but it just seemed so odd. And John's tush in those jeans looked so nice. And sitting with the Hayward was nice too.

If you need me, I'll be in bed.

And I'll be dreaming about them.

Infinite Boredom

I think for the better part of the past two years I've been bored. Not that there haven't been moments of great excitement in my life. I've listed many of them in the recent past, so no need to go over them again.

But why am I bored?

Dammit I have no money.

Wretched job situations have plagued me since 2002. Just when I think I might get back on my feet something happens to knock me down. If it weren't for the kindness of family, friends and some almost strangers, I wouldn't be able to do anything. It would be me and the computer against the world. (Sadly that's almost the case now)

I think on top of the no money situation I have a few other things dragging me down. I'm burning out on my writing. I've rambled off about how many stories and such that I've written in the past year or so. In the last month, I've hardly written anything. I don't know if it's lack of inspiration (which I don't believe is the case) or just the fact that I don't think anyone cares anymore.

I like to share what I write with the world, probably one of the main reasons I have a blog, but when I share something and no one tells me what they think of it, well it gets me wondering if it was worth the time I put into it.

The dieting thing has been getting me down too. Everyone knows that. I think my cat even knows it. I think I've gotten the scale down and then...Whoops! Right back up again. It's frustrating and it doesn't seem to matter how much I eat, don't eat, exercise or sit on my butt, the scale does what it pleases.

So not only am I bored but I'm depressed. It doesn't make for a happy human that's for sure. Even my mix cd making has slowed down. I've made 4 this month, but they weren't very inspired, 3 were reasons to love a specific artist, namely the Moody Blues, Elvis Costello and Erasure and the 4th was the 20 Reasons Callie Should Have a Great Birthday Mix. Go ahead, check that one out, I'm proud of the choices I made.

The worst part of my infinite boredom is that I have ideas, for stories, mixes etc...but I can't motivate myself to do them. So what do I do? I stare comatose at the computer.

It could be because this,

is my desktop....what do you think. Oh and someone tell him to stop looking so squirrelly, his face may freeze that way and it depresses me.

Wednesday Mind Hump

It's Time To Hump Your Mind

Brought to you by the Loonies at BDI.

I'm ready to do the humpty hump hump hump!! Whoa..I over humped it a bit

Loonies and Loonettes -- start your engines and let's warm-up for the hump. For this warm-up, put your humility away and using the letters H-A-M-B-U-R-G-E-R reveal to us nine wonderful things about you.

Hayward is my hunny bunny
Always will I love him
Moody Men are my weakness
But I have a soft spot for Elvis Costello too
Ultimate fantasy another Moody Blues concert this year
Really wish that would happen
Goodness gracious that would make me very happy
Easily excited over all things Moody Blue
Rather not say any more.

I'll just post this lovely picture

It does say a thousand words I think.

This week let's do a getting-to-know-you-hump mixed with some cwaziness to make it a fun hump too. Ready? Hump it!

01. You have opened a fast food joint that features YOUR favorite food prepared in many different forms. What would the name of your joint be? List several things that would be on the menu.

The Burrito Pit!

Burritos of every size and shape. Imagine the possibilities. Move over Taco Bell here comes the Burrito Pit.

02. You are holding a public auction for all your belongings ... what is the oddest or silliest item that would be on the auction block?

Me, of course. C'mon! You all know you want to bid on me! Ok, at least get the Hayward or the Lodgey to bid on me! If I'm getting sold, I want to go to a good home!

03. If you could buy "instant anything" what would it produce when you just add water?

Instant Hayward and Lodgey! Yay! Just add water and you have your very own Moody Men! Whoppee! I'm going to be makin' whoppee! with my instant Moody Men!

04. If it were possible to miniaturize any sort of environment and keep it in an aquarium-like enclosure, what type of environment would it be and what sort of creatures would you keep in it?

Can I minaturize the White House and keep the president and congress in there? Oh the possibilities here. It's possible this may be my chance at world domination! Muhahahahaha! I'm about to rule the world!

~skips off singing that Tears For Fears song~

05. If you were offered a "Get Out of Jail Free" type of card today (i.e. magically fix something, get out of doing something, etc...) what would the card be for?
I want the get out of "DEBT" free card. No more bills! I can work and not worry. Life would be just peachy! Now where is my card!!! I need that now! Actually I needed that yesterday or two months ago even!

I'm Still Awake

I'm Still Awake

I'm wide awake! I can't believe this. I only got about 4 hours sleep, but I'm wide awake right now. Tired as all hell, but wide awake. I even accomplished things. Be proud.

1. Moody Mistress's B-day present is in the mail!!
2. Got that photo order done. Took me hours to do it too. ARGH
3. Burned a mix CD for an Art Of The Mix buddy.
4. Took a picture of a toad hopping about my yard, clicky here to see it.
5. Listened to the Time Traveller Disc 2 far too many times for my sanity.

"Burn slowly the candle of life"

That's about the most intelligent lyric John Lodge has ever written. Good on you Lodgey!

Do you ever think about lyrics? Oh, it's just me then. Some of them are extremely profound while others leave you cocking your head to the side like a confused puppy dog. Most of Lodgey's fall into the later variety.

Not that it's a bad thing. I need songs like "Magic" and "Steppin In A Slide Zone" in my life. I also need songs like "One More Time To Live" and "Candle Of Life" But sometimes it's those silly or senseless sounding lyrics that really lift me up.

John's song "Words You Say" is probably the most mocked Moody Blues song, mostly cos it's the longest freaking song in the universe. (OK, it only feels that way) It also has some weird lyrics. And because I love ya so much, I'll post them.

Words You Say

Words you say to me
I listen in sympathy
But I don't know what it is
That makes me ignore you.

I hear you every night
I listen but the words
Don't seem right
My mind seems somewhere else
What else can I tell you?
I don't know what to do
I'm losing you

Something I can't control
You are in my heart and soul.
I don't want to wake up now
I don't want to wake up now
I don't want to wake up now
I don't want to wake up now.

Words you say to me
I'm living in fantasy
If I don't know what it is
I simply ignore you.

I hear you every night
I listen but the time is never right
My life is so confused
What more can I tell you?

Don't turn and walk away
Don't leave this way
Something I can't control
You are in my heart and soul.

I don't want to wake up now

And this is how Lodgey looks when he's singing Words You Say

I think I've been awake far too long today.

No Sleepy For Me

No Sleepy For Me

It was bad enough I was up last night making a photo order until all hours of the morning, the darn cat decided to take a spastic attack. Our oldest kitty, Buddah has a neurological problem, on top of being a bit odd to start with. Any time the kitty licks his back, he goes nutty and can slip into some kind of seizure. Buddah is at least 14 (He was an older stray when we got him, so we have no idea his age) and we're almost scared to take him to the vet for fear they'll tell us to put him down.

So I was up, giving the cat a dry bath and trying to keep him from breaking every knick knack in the house. Not fun. And now I'm dead tired and I'll be sitting at work nodding off. Not a good thing.

This also means I'll be too tired to get anything done when I get home. So yeah, it just keeps on getting worse. I'm going to be too tired to function all day today, plus I have a zillion and one things to do. (including go to walmart to get an envelope to mail MoodyMistress her b-day present) I only hope I can stay awake to do all of this.

Until then, something that might just keep me awake if I stare at it long enough

Monday Music Mambo

Monday Music Mambo

Ok, it's time for the other Monday meme. The one brought to you by the cwazees at BDI.

Well, Monday is upon us again, Guys and Dolls. Do you know what that means? If you guessed, "Time For Another Mambo," you're absolutely correct!

So lets get ourselves warmed up and dance, shall we, with a little "I say...You think..."

Magazine: article
Photo:: Moody Blues I have thousands and thousands of pictures of them.
Concert: June 19, 2004, Last Moody Blues concert
Video: Killed The Radio Star
Pass:: Backstage
Ticket:Master - those evil bastards
Line: To get into the damn venue, cos they think we're all terrorists
Excitement: I Want to see my Moody Men again!!

Are you warmed up yet? That's good, cos the Mambo Guy is getting impatient. He wants to get his mambo going on. So let's get started.

1. If you had backstages passes to the show of your chosing, who would it be, and what would you do once you were backstage? (Try to be clean.)
Do you even have to guess? The Moody Blues. I think I'd like to be backstage at an Atlantic City show too. Just cos it's funner there (as Greg Proops would say)

And you know I just like to hang out with sexy old geezers like them:

After I talked J'tin out of wearing the pink shirt from hell. (and subsequently burning it) Then let the party begin, or rather the

Mmmm Hayward...Mmmmm Lodgey.

BTW My Runner Up for this question is...

Elvis Costello.

2. What entertainment magazines do you read?
I used to read Entertainment Weekly faithfully. Sometimes I'll flip through, People and Rolling Stone, but not as much. It's not as though my favorite celebrites ever make it inside. Oh except for Johnny Depp, who is the sexiest man alive this year! Yay Johnny!

3. Do you read concert/album reviews in your local newspaper? And if so, do you let the review sway your opinion on the band/album?
It's like a gorey accident. I have to read them. Then I usually get pissed off, cos no critic likes the Moody Blues. Thankfully Ed Masley, who does the reviews of Costello usually, is a huge fan, so I don't cuss him out often. So no the reviews seldom affect my opinion.

4. Create your dream concert lineup. (a sort of Lollapalooza event of your making)

It's Bizarro-fest, hosted by the Music Whore..

Opening acts include:

Erasure
Bernie Barlow (who'll be back later on)
Alison Moyet
Matchbox Twenty
Cheap Trick

Wait there's more

Duran Duran (are fighting for a spot)
David Bowie (lollipops are forbidden at this show)
Elvis Costello
The Beatles (Are all alive..just for this concert and they are playing for me and sharing a double bill with......)
THE MOODY BLUES

(Justin and Paul are fighting over who's prettiest)

5. If you could have attended any festival show at any time...From Woodstock on...which one would it have been, and why?

The Isle of Wight festival in 1970. Though there might be a few Prince's Trust shows I'd like to pop in on. I know there was one in the 80's that George Harrison performed at...and another with Paul..and I'm sure the Moodies were at one too. Not to mention Live Aid...and so many others. ARGH! Brain cramp! I think I'll stick with the Isle of Wight though!

Monday Madness

Ok, let's go a little bit insane and do the Monday Madness Meme. I'm going to try to keep my meme's down to just 3 a week. My two Monday Meme's and the Mind Hump. So, here goes nothing!

'If you had your choice between this and that, what would you do?'

1. Skipping and Running Skipping, cos it doesn't give me a crick in the side!

2. Coke or Pepsi Coke please! I'm addicted to the fizzy stuff!

3. Rock or Hip Hop The Music Whore prefers Classic Rock

4. Laptop or Desktop Desktop, cos I can't type on laptops very well
5. Cold Weather or Hot Weather Uh, I'm a middle of the road kinda girl myself. I like warm!

6. Swimming or Bicycling Swimming, cos I can hurt myself a little less, doing that. I can just

7. Chocolate or Vanilla Chocolate, please

8. Day or Night Night.

9. Looks or Brains A little of both doesn't hurt. I will admit I'm a sucker for a pretty face though.

10. Cable, DSL, or Dial-Up DSL! Nuff said

Ohiopyle

Finally, my image server is up and kicking, so I can share some more pictures from my day at Ohiopyle Park, in...erm Pennsylvania.

My friend and I pondered the name of this part for ages. Why? Well for one, it's not in Ohio and it's not on the Ohio river. So why the name? Enquiring minds want to know.

A few shots from the various overlooks. I'm doing them all in thumbnails so you can just right click on them to see the full shot. BTW, If you want to save these pictures, go right ahead. Use them as you see fit.

This is like an eye of water, that can be seen from the overlook by the falls.

There's also a walking path at the park. There are many of them in fact, this is a bridge that takes you onto one of the nicer trails.

About a half a mile from that bridge is yet another one, and much much higher. (High enough to make the music whore queasy) Here's one shot from the center of the bridge, before I ran screaming to the other side.

Hope you enjoyed the pictures as much as I enjoyed the day!

A Lovely Sunday

Today turned out to be quite productive and fun on several fronts. I went to Ohiopyle with the friend that drags me around every weekend. We walked, took pictures and ate good food. What more can you ask for on a Sunday?

Ok, besides Justin Hayward and John Lodge to come along with you. (Hey, that's what I'd ask for!!)

Here's one of the pictures from the park. As soon as my image hosting site is back up and running I'll post some more.

Merry Christmas

In July that is!

Have a wonderful, unChristmas everyone! Go out and buy yourself lots of presents. Cos it's that big sale time of year.

Oh and in case Justin Hayward was wondering. I do need a reindeer.

But I don't need the snow

But if he tells me he loves me, I'll be ready to go too!

Oye. A little fun with the lyrics of The Moody Blues' Don't Need A Reindeer. The best Christmas song ever!

Happy Christmas in July everyone!

Wrapping Up The Week

Wrapping Up The Week

I can't believe how fast this month has gone. It seems like only yesterday I was bitching about how awful it was going to be turning thirty. Well, I've been 30 for about 23 days now and I guess it isn't so bad. Actually, its no different from being 29 or 18. OK, it's different from being 18, cos I was much much thinner then.

Anyhow, what was my week like? Boring sums it up in a nutshell.

~ No Pittsburgh jaunts for me this week. Not of the work variety or the extracurricular variety. That changes tomorrow. Haven't decided if that's a good thing or a bad (make me insane) thing.

~ I did advance in making Moody Mistress her birthday present. So far she has the Erasure compilation that I mentioned the other day. (with artwork, looking all spiffy) She will have the Atlantic City Moody Blues show too, with artwork. (as soon as I finish it)

But the crowning glory is that other mix I'm working on. The 20 Reasons she should have a happy birthday.

Well I found a creative way to do that mix. All the songs I use are a reason. It will make more sense when I post that later this week.

~ I had one day to myself! Woot! Yesterday was relaxing. That's how I got the mix done. Today, my friend is visiting. I have no idea what we're doing but I'm sure it will take up most of the day. (I'm kinda hoping that De-lovely is involved somehow)

~ I started reading another book this week. (oye is my side bar in need of updating) The book is called When Bruce met Cyn. I picked it up at Wal-mart when my friend decided she needed to get her haircut after she exercised me (at the walking path..I feel so much like Fido) on Monday. Told me that I didn't need to bring my purse, and then drags me to WAL-MART. I'm sorry, that's cruel. So she bought me a soda and a book. (Of course, she gets to read it next) It's quite a funny read, worth checking out. The author, since I very nearly forgot to mention it was Lori Foster. Go check it out. NOW!

John Lodge

John Lodge

A comment was made that this picture of John Lodge was blurry. I'm in firm belief it was a comment made out of jealousy, because quite frankly I don't see any blur to it at all.

So, I'm posting the full picture, directly from the camera.

Just right click on John and you'll get the full image to enjoy or not to enjoy. I suppose that's entirely up to you.

Pretty Pop for Persnickity People

Pretty Pop for Persnickity People

Remember how I was talking about Bernie Barlow's CD? It's called Golden and it's only available at her website. I griped about that a week or so ago, but caved and ordered it anyway.

It came in the mail about 2 days ago. I was very anxious to hear it. There were clips at Bernie's site, of course, but 30 seconds doesn't always give you a good impression on a song.

Well, I have to say, it was worth the 17.50. Ms. Barlow is in that class of female vocalists that Sarah McLachlan was in before overexposure hit. She has a light voice, but not babyish. The songs on the CD are mature, sassy and fun.

The best track by far is Sexy, which is played on most of the pages of her website. If you hear it all the way through, I guarantee that it will be stuck in your head for days to come.

Bernie is a female vocalist that can sing and doesn't need the trappings of tartdom to catch the listeners attention. Her voice is enough, and in a world where the sluttier the singer the better, this is most definitely refreshing.

If you're looking for a new artist to listen to, you really can't go wrong here. After all, every so often, The Moody Men can pick a backing vocalist that can sing.

Ms Barlow is back behind the keyboards, if you aren't too distracted by the loveliness up front. Mmm Hayward.... Mmmm Lodgey.

Birthday Present Anguish

Birthday Present Anguish

A fellow blogger friend of mine has a birthday in 6 days. I haven't a clue how old she is. All I know is her birthday and that we have similar tastes in music.

We've swapped mix cds, pictures of Moody Men and concert cds over the past year. So her b-day is the 30th, if my memory serves me well, and I'm trying to get together the perfect gift.

I've got a duplicate copy of a Costello CD to send to her. Which leads me to the next quandry. She's joked that I turned her from the bittersweet ballads of the Moody Blues to someone snarky like Mr. Costello.

That is quite true. Though her love for the Hayward has not waned as my love for the Costello has not. But I wanted to do a few different things for her b-day and maybe make up for the snarky Costello habit I helped to create.

So I decided on Erasure.

So I've done a 20 Reasons To Love Erasure Mix. Tomorrow I'll be assembling the tracks to make sure that all of my 20 choices fit. This 20 Reasons Mix is a little different from my others though. I went through and found all the light fluffy Erasure songs, to make up for the snarky beauty of Mr. Costello.

There's also a surprise involved. She knows she's getting an Erasure Mix, she knows she's getting a Costello CD and she knows I'm buring the Atlantic City Moody Blues show for her, but I'm adding a special mix to the b-day pressie. It's another 20 Reasons mix, only this one is 20 Reasons Why Moody Mistress should have a happy birthday!

Oh and I'm making her a card, cos she made me one hell of a pretty one for my 30th. So if you guys would be so kind as to clicky here and let me know what you think of my card.

Here's hoping she'll like it. Oh and I'm not worried that my posting about the surprise will ruin it for her, she's on vacation in NYC for the week, and most likely she won't read my archives when she gets back.

You Can Stand Me Up At The Gates Of Hell

You Can Stand Me Up At The Gates Of Hell

Oh wait, there are no gates in Charleroi, it only feels like it there are. Oh and remember how I said I wanted to have a "Leave Me Alone" weekend. Well, it's not happening. I don't know why it's so hard for some people to do things on their own. I like being alone. I want to be left alone for 48 hours. Why can people not grasp that?

I want to sit at home and read and make mix cds and write and not do a damn thing if I don't feel like doing it. Why oh why do people have to call me and tell me I'm going to be going out, even after I said no.

This friend of mine that does this to me every weekend, is one that you can't say no to either. I love her dearly, but she makes me absolutely nutty. If I do say no, she finds a way to show up anyway.

There's a certain amount of unfairness to the whole situaion.

Oh and I should mention she should understand that I need to save money. After all, she's the one going to Atlantic City with me in September. Going to the Olive Garden or anywhere else where a meal is going to cost more than 10 bucks is really out of the question. I would like to be able to buy things in Jersey!

GAH!

Do you think if I hide, she won't find me?

Stuff and Nonsense

Ok, no meme's today. Yippee! I'm thinking I might take a break from a few of the meme's for a week, because I'm getting frustrated. I do them cos it's fun, but oddly my favorite meme's haven't been fun to me lately. But never mind that, it's stuff and nonsense time.

~ First bit of stuff. My guess a hump. A few of you were close, and I do believe one of you got it right.

My hump is a picture of Justin Hayward in a plastic frame.

Clicky on him to see him full size. He's sure pretty to look at on my monitor!

~ Next up. Mary Kate Olsen. Is it drugs? Is it anorexia? Do I care? Not really. I feel terrible that she has so much money and she can't cope with life so she has to starve herself or do drugs or whatever. If she wants to return to normal life, she can donate some cash to me. I'll gladly try to cope with being fabulously wealthy for being an ugly annoying kid on tv and video.

~ Speaking of fucked up things. And sorry if that word with an "f" in it offends, but that's all that I can use when talking about Michael Jackson and the quadruplets. Uh, shouldn't there be a law against spreading around sperm to create children when you are about to go up on child molesation charges?

I'm not sure how I feel about his whole case. I don't think I believe he could hurt a child, but I also don't think that with all the money he has, he's fit to be around them. There's just something not right about that man. Something very not right.

~ Justin and the Monte Carlo Moody Blues concert. Sit down for this. Justin. C'mere sweetie pookie pie. My darling dearest sexist manwhore, what the fuck were you thinking? Oh wait, I did call you a "man" whore. Which means you weren't thinking.

Yes, it's wonderful to have that "exclusive" show. Oh and the gathering you are putting together for the 1000 uber rich fans, is sure to be nice. From one of your fans that makes less than 20000 a year, can I just say, FUQUA! Just Fuqua you and the horsey you rode in on, you nasty nasty studmuffin you! That's just cruel and you should be punished severely for it. John should put Words You Say in that show, and he should make it 10 minutes long. No wait it is 10 minutes long, he should make it 10 minutes longer!! Oh and you should have to have sex with your wife! Oh wait, no, I can't be that cruel.

Ok, it's time for some nonsense

~ The diet thing. I'm unamused by everything. The scale goes down. Two days later it's back up. I know I've lost at least 4 - 5 lbs, but that isn't enough. I've been trying my damnedest for about 3 months, only to lose 5 lbs? ARGH!

~ Not My Slave is sitting in the recycle bin waiting for the delete to happen. I'm not touching this one anymore. A break is not enough. This needs to go away. I know I spent countless hours, days and months on these 230 odd pages, but its not working for me and I can't figure out how to make it work. So right now for me, this story doesn't exist.

~ I think the pooch says it all

Zzzzzzzz

I will not go to sleep yet, I will not go to sleep yet. As always another uneventful day in the life of the music whore. Did you expect otherwise? I do think something spectacular is do to happen soon, I just haven't figured out what it will be.

Maybe it will be a weekend where everyone "LEAVES ME ALONE!"

If I'm not going out to do something fun, ie...dinner (which defeats dieting)...a movie...or saints forbid, a club, please let me have a weekend to myself. Is that too much to ask for?

Granted a lot of my weekends are full of nothing, but usually something creeps in about mid-nothing, to throw my laziness right off balance. You know, the can we go for walkies thing, at say 6 p.m. I'm fine with walkies, cos my butt could usually use the exercise, but please, don't call me a half hour before hand to inform me that you are going to take me out and exercise me.

Miss Spontaniety I am not! I like to be informed. Even better I like my solitude. I like being left in my room in front of my computer, working on whatever story takes my fancy at the moment with my tunes playing on the computer or on the stereo.

Speaking of tunage, I've just put Jimmy Buffett on the mp3 player. I'm not a fan of country music, but Jimmy Buffett is almost a genre unto his own. I'm definitely in need of his new CD. It's great music for the summer. Makes you want to sit back relax and have a margarita, which incidently, I haven't had in a long time. Come to think of it, the last drink I had was at the Bowie concert on May 17. Crikey! That's a sad sorry shame!

But back to the subject of Jimmy Buffett. My brother gets to see him at least once a year, and I still can't score seats even once. This is just not fair. I might add, that Buffett shows, for those of you not in the know, sell out in seconds. Ticket prices aren't very friendly either.

Which will lead me into my last rant before I do finally let myself go to bed. Cyndi Lauper is coming to Pittsburgh. She's playing the Pepsi Cola Roadhouse in Burgettstown. (which is nowhere near Pittsburgh..but erm... nevermind) Now we all know Cyndi Lauper and we all know that she hasn't had a hit record since...since...1980 yedden.

Do you know how much the tickets cost?

Sit down, why doncha?

The price range for Ms. Lauper's show in the P'burgh, 59 - 79 bucks! WTF! I paid 69 to see her when she opened for CHER!! The tickets for the Moody Blues in Atlantic City were cheaper than that!

Methinks Ms. Lauper is a bit overpriced.

I guess I'll have to content myself with only one more concert this year. That would be Phil Collins on Sept 26. Our seats aren't great, but then again, I don't really care, I'm being dragged off to that one.

Enough moaning now. It's time to shut up and go to sleep... Zzzzzzzz

Wednesday Mind Hump

Wednesday Mind Hump

Ok, it's time for me to get my hump on. Now where's Lodgey? And if he's not available, where's the Hayward? I'm not humping until I have them!

~taps foot~

.... as a warm-up, using the letters L-U-N-A-C-Y reveal six peculiar activities or rituals you do only at night -- something that other people might consider somewhat looney or at the very least, a little odd. Okie dokie smokie -- now that we're warmed up we're going to have a little fun with free association aka "I say ____, you think ___". Ready? Set? C'mon -- let's hump like crazy!

Lights out
Under Moonshine
Nightlight in the hall so I don't kill myself if I have to go potty!
A nice book to help me fall asleep
Cocoa sometimes makes it easier to sleep
You know, this has made me sleepy, I'm going back to bed.

01. diamonds are a girls best friend.
02. nights in White Satin
03. wrestle mania
04. blaze of glory
05. candlestick wick
06. child hives (children give me hives, I'm allergic)
07. tiptoe Through the tulips
08. homemade goodies
09. zoom lens
10. joint High
11. polka dot
12. rhythm is a dancer

Back by popular demand: The Guess-A-Hump!!

Can I just say...oh freaking hell! I thought this was gone and like the cat, it came back to torture me.

My hump is pretty. My hump is blonde, my hump is sitting on top of my monitor right now. My hump lives in a plastic case. Everynight before I go to bed, I say a few words to my hump, I even tell my hump I love you. My hump doesn't care.

The Music Whore's Top 10

The Music Whore's Top 10 Reasons To Love John Lodge

I'm going all out for my Moody Man's b-day. This is my list of why you just gotta love they Lodgey!

10. He stopped doing "Words You Say" on this tour.

09. He's the Moody Man with the least amount of fashion faux pas, which means he'd never be caught dead wearing something like this:

However strangely endearing the freaky print might be.

08. His songs are open and honest...and make no sense at all.

I'm in a state of permanent confusion - Magic - Keys of the Kingdom Well aren't we all John, aren't we all.

07. Hugs - You ain't felt nothing like a Lodgey hug!

06. He looks good in leather.

05.He knows how to shake his groove tha-ang on stage. (unlike some other stationary guitarists...cough..cough..Justin)

04. His voice is like sex...speaking voice that is!

03. The Lodgey Look!

Example:

02. His Tushie!

And the number 1 reason to love John Lodge....

The answers to these questions: Taken from an interview from the Weekend Post - Nottingham in May of this year.

Q&A: Describe one of the happiest days of your life so far.

JL: Getting married. In 1968. We're still together. She's still
putting up with me.

Q&A: Who's your best friend?

JL: My wife. She's the only person I can trust. I've got a few mates
who I play golf with. I'm a member of the Variety Club so I play a lot
of their golfing events. I've also got two of my own golf charities.
A lot of my friends take part in those.

Q&A: What cause would you die for?

JL: My family.

Lodgey is a good man! As I said before, when they made him, they broke the mold.

Happy Birthday John Lodge

Happy Birthday John Lodge

Today, June 20th, one of my favorite musicians was born.

It was 59 years ago today, that the world was blessed with the beauty that is John Lodge. He is probably one of the kindest, sweetest musicians out there. And I should know, I've met him.

John is a true gentlemen and he treats his fans with respect. He's almost always happy to pose for a picture, sign an autograph and best of all, give out hugs that you will never ever ever, if you live to be a million, forget.

On June 20, 1945, a mold was broken in Heaven. John was born, and there could be no other like him.

In 59 years since his birth, John has brought smiles to countless fans all over the world, myself included. He's kept the faith alive, in everything he does. (pun intended)

So for all the smiles that he's given to me, and the many more I hope to receive because I've been lucky enough to have been exposed to his musical talent..nay genius, I want to wish him the happiest of birthdays.

I hope Kirsten gives you the B-day snogging of your life! (lucky woman!!)

Monday Madness

It's time to be crazy with the other Monday Meme, Monday Madness.

So here goes!

1. Do you prefer to be out in the sun or in the shade?
I'm a shady kinda person. Ok, maybe not quite the way that sounds, but lets just say, I'm currently paling myself.

2. Regarding the walls in your house, do you prefer neutral colors or bright colors?
Well, if I had a say (and I don't cos I live at home w/ parental units) I'd go for bright colors!

3. When hanging pictures on your walls, do you like things symmetric or asymmetric?
Well, it depends on the type of picture I'm hanging. Paintings should be symmetric, but posters and photos can be asymmetric.

4. How about where you'd like to live; country or city?
Let's try for a 1 horse town. That would be Charleroi.

5. Your blog; Blogger, Blogdrive, Blog-City, or another one altogether?
Blogger, but I have accounts and blogs at Art of The Mix, Blogdrive and LiveJournal. Don't ask why...really, you don't want to know. And yes I do blog at about 4 different places.

6. Email; Yahoo, Hotmail, Gmail, or other?
All of the above, including other.

7. Air conditioning or just a fan when it's hot at night?
I'd love an air conditioner, but I'm stuck with a fan, and that's just fine with me most of the time.

8. Dinner; seafood or steak?
Steak! I abhor seafood. No one wants to be around me on Fridays during Lent. Just ask anyone in my family. Go ahead, ask Lady Starlight, she'll tell ya!

9. Your all-time favorite music media; CD's, cassette tapes, or vinyl (or 8-tracks?)
Vinyl was so much more fun! You got posters and tons of BIG pictures in the liner notes. Granted the sound is better on CDs, but the vinyl was special. Now everyone knows what an old woman I am.

10. When learning a new software program, do you find it easier to follow a book or an online tutorial?
Neither, I use the trial and error approach and teach it to myself. I'll use the help function if I'm lost.

Monday Music Mambo

Ok, Kidlets, it's time to get the Mambo going on! I don't know about you, but I'm ready for something fun! I haven't been doing many meme's lately. So, without further adieu, I'm going to shake my fanny across my own blog!

This week it's all about "New Music!" So why don't we get warmed up with a little bit of "I say...You think..."

Release:Me!
Tuesday: Afternoon
Sounds: that make me smile
Disc: Compact Disc..I have many many many of them.
Radio: Sweetheart
Store: I need to go to Best Buy, NOW!!
Tape: Does anyone have these anymore?
Mix: Me a Mix CD

Ok, now that we are all warmed up, are you ready to Mambo? If you are, come on and shake your groove thang!

1. What's your favorite way to discover new music?
I love getting Mix CDs from friends. I've discovered some great music that way. It's a good way to get exposed to music you might not listen to otherwise. Speaking of which, the song California Stars by Billy Bragg and Wilco is just awesome!

2. Do videos influence whether or not you buy a cd?
I'm not sure it influences whether or not I'll buy a cd, but it can influence how I feel about a song. I didn't like Duran Duran for the longest time because of two of their videos. I hated the Wild Boys video and the video for All She Wants Is. Come to think of it, Justin traumatized me with his hair in the Nights In White Satin video

Scary, 60's hair!! But Sexy Hayward!

3. What was the last CD you purchased?
I just bought the Delovely Soundtrack today. It's really a great disc, and I can't wait to see the movie. Just for the appearances by Elvis Costello, Robbie Williams and Diana Krall.

4. Tell us about a band you recently discovered.

Hmmm I'd have to say the Stereophonics. I discovered them, courtesy of David Bowie. They were his opening act. I haven't bought any of their CDs yet, but with the help of a friend who I swap mix cds with, I've had some more exposure to their music, and I find they are one of the last really good Britpop bands. If you'd like a song recommendation, you can't go wrong with Have A Nice Day!

5. And lastly...answer the musical question: Did Video Kill The Radio Star?
What's radio? I think that should be the answer there. And that's a sad thing, because now music is judged more on the appearance of the artist rather than the artist's talent. That's wrong on so many different levels.

Projects You Should Never Start

Projects You Should Never Start

I took it upon myself to try to delete some posts from the blog today. Oye! What an annoying thing to do. I was deleting some of the fanfiction and other assorted stories from the site. I'm down below 1000 posts. That's kinda sad, but the end result of Man Out Of Time is nothing like what you'd find in the archives here. Man Out of Time is the story that ended up called Broken Dreams. I also deleted as many of the Not My Slave posts from the blog.

What you may still find here:

Love Eternal: A historical fanfic with two of my favorite musicians
Distorted Angel: which is also on my fanfic site.
An Innocent Man, which ended up called You Want Her Too, at the end.

There may be others lurking here and I'll let them remain, but the big ones are removed. If anyone wants to read these, don't hesitate to ask. I'll send them over to you. I'm always writing something or other.

I just can't believe how many posts I've deleted. And I'm not even sure how to get to the others. Blogger used to be easy to maneuver around, all you had to know was a date. You can't search that way anymore. That really truly sucks, because I'd like to clean up the blog some more. Alas it wasn't really meant to be, I suppose.

On that note, I'll go back to working on my current story, which is less stressful than this is.

I Feel Time Slipping Away

I Feel Time Slipping Away

The month of July is now almost halfway over. That's almost hard to believe, but did I not say that on my birthday that usually signals a closing of summer for me.

I could gripe about how boring my life is and that would be very true. My life is boring, but this year has been a bit different. In fact the last 12 months have had a lot of interesting things happening in them.

I mean it's not often that a girl gets to see David Bowie from the first row of the Benedum Center and then about a month later gets to see the Moody Blues twice. Ok, some people get to see that later mentioned band many times, but hey, they have money, I don't.

I've been too Youngstown (not much I know) and Atlantic City. I've spent more time in the city of Pittsburgh than I ever have in my life, and no one was in the hospital, and guess what? I enjoyed my time there. (except when the Gestapo/KGB people were around)

I've met a tv personality. If you don't believe me, just go here. I've had loads of fun, really. It's just been few and far between. I guess that's what makes those fabulous minutes so fabulous, they don't happen that often.

That's why we have memories. So that we can look back and remember and wonder how the time has slipped by so darn quickly. Here's hoping the next few months bring some good memories for me too.

Saturday Wrap Up

Saturday Wrap Up

Well, as you can probably see I was still fiddling with some of the pictures from Atlantic City. Cropping out hands and heads that sneak into corners of the pictures. I never realized how many shots we took. Oddly more of them were good than I had originally thought. It just took some time in photo shop sharpening them.

So thanks to Miss Linds, I found another site to host images, cos my Atlantic City pictures are pretty big and being as I'm rather poor at the present time, I needed another "FREE" way to host them. My server you ask? Image Shack!

So in honor of Image Shack, I bring you a lovely picture of the ever so handsome Paul Bliss. I do believe the darling Gordiemuffin has snuck into this photo as well.

So what else did I do today? Not much. It rained, which pretty much eliminated my plans for a nice lengthy walk. So I spent the better part of my day on the computer working on my latest bit of fiction. I'm quite happy to report that the story is progressing nicely.

Currently I'm burning a Diana Krall concert from 2003. I can't believe I'm really listening to her and enjoying it. It's really odd that I'm coming to appreciate her music. I'm almost feeling guilty about not getting tickets to see her Pittsburgh show. (but not that much yet)

As I said earlier, I did go to mass today. I was a eucharistic minister, because half of the people scheduled on this evening didn't show. I was also a lector. (So I've met my weekly requirement for church) I prayed for the usual patience to deal with insanity and the people that cause it. Here's hoping my prayers will be answered this time!!

Did one unplanned thing! Went and got some yummy Chinese food at the Little Bamboo. Mmmm General Tso's Chicken and Mmmmmm Pork Egg Foo Young! and double Mmmmmm Steamed Dumplings. Good Eats as Alton Brown would say.

Now I'm going to see how many more times I can listen to Vintage Wine and Sooner of Later (Walking On Air). These are my two, Feel Good, Moody Blues songs. The third is Don't Need A Reindeer, but I think my family has heard enough of that one...oh hell, it just came on. Hope the Christmas music doesn't disturb them too greatly. So, as I was saying, these are the 3 Moody Blues songs that bring a smile to my face whenever I hear them.

The morning crankiness is gone. I'm feeling good. And I'm listening to the Moodies. It don't get any better than this.

Lodgey!

Lodgey!

Morning Crankies

Morning Crankies

It's really the little things in life that take away that feeling of wanting to beat someone over the head with something similar to a crowbar.I was up entirely too early this morning. 7 am on a Saturday morning is just wrong. Up at 7 am with PMSy crankies is even more wrong.

Let me sleep for goodness sake!

So I turn my computer on, figuring I'm going to work on a short songfic that I started this week and get my winamp on. Cos music usually cures the morning crankies. Well, Sur La Mer was on my winamp (Sur La Mer being a Moody Blues album) So, I go straight to the happy song. Yeah...occassionally the Moody Blues do write happy songs. The song is Vintage Wine, by the Hayward. Thanks for the catchy chorus, J'tin. As always it puts a smile to my face. OK, Lodgey songs make me smile too. Lodgey makes me smile always. Lodgey is just infectious happiness. Voila...Hayward Happy Song playing = Crankies Gone.

But now that I'm not cranky, I can try to decide what to do with my day. Writing is a given, the disc is in the computer beckoning me. Most likely I'll do some reading as therapy for my dull life at the moment, oh and go to mass tonight.

Doesn't that sound thrilling?

Maybe I'll add a walk in there for added amusement and inspiration. That will be the highlight of my day! I'll go on a walk from my house to 2nd St and back. A 2 mile walk. Woot! I'm not sure if I can contain myself. That might be too much for me!

Ooops, the crankies are back! Looks like it's going to take more than a few songs to cure me of this. Any cures for crankies out there besides Moody Music?

A Variety Of Rants

Ok, I'm full of rants today. Especially when blogger goes and changes on me, and suddenly becomes all nice and friendly. When did this happen? Why didn't they tell me this was going to happen. Is this really my pain in the butt blogger screen?

This has just about derailed my other rants.

ARGH!

So I'm going to try to sort out a few of the new things that were added miraculously overnight. Maybe I've died and gone to Blogdrive...or even over to my Art Of The Mix Blog.

Back to the regularly scheduled rant.

~ Zits: Hello world. I'm 30 years old. Puberty was supposed to end at least 10 years ago. Quite frankly I'm sick sick sick of this. Is it too much to ask that I have clear skin for one month...hell...one week...I'd take even one day out of a year...or even my life?

Yeah, I thought so.

This is wrong on so many levels. I don't want to be the Proactiv Solution poster child. Really, I don't!

~ The morning commute to Pittsburgh: Hell the whole damn trip to the city. Don't get me wrong, I like Pittsburgh. It's an easy city to get around. Once you get there! I understand rush hour traffic, but my start time isn't until 9, which puts me coming in at the very tail end of rush hour. I mean like the tippy tip of rush. If you can even call it that.

Now here's my gripe.

You enter Pittsburgh on route 51 in the district of Overbrook, with a happy sign that says Welcome to Fucksburgh...erm..sorry.. Welcome to Pittsburgh. (forgive my prosanity..no don't I meant it..and I say it every morning that I drive there)

From that point to the Liberty Tunnels is maybe 8 miles, probably less. Those 8 miles take about 20 minutes at about 8:30 in the morning. 20 MINUTES!!!

Then you get to the light at the Liberty Tunnels. Not bad, the wait is usually just one light. But then you actually get into the tunnels. Do I really have to spend 10-15 minutes under Mount Washington in my 1989 Chevy Beretta that likes to stall? Yes, I do. Fuqua!

So with all this you would think there would be loads of traffic on the other end of tunnel, right? Wrong! There's no flipping traffic once you get into the city proper! It takes me about 5 minutes from the Liberty Bridge to my job. ARGH! And its the same situation in reverse when I leave.

I'd like the stretch of 51 from the intersection of route 88 to the tunnels to just disappear. Let the designers and engineers figure something more intelligent out! I dare them!!

~ CDS that you can only buy on the web. I want Bernie Barlow's CD Golden. It's only available on her damn website! WTF! Why? Oh yeah, I forgot, buying things in a store, brings me joy. Therefore we cannot have that.

Bernie is the backup singer for the Moody Blues. The one that can sing. Sorry Norda, you can play flute with the best of em. You can play guitar, tamborine...whatever, but you cannot, and I do mean cannot sing!

Anyway, there are just some things that I'd really just like to find in stores, not that I'd ever be able to find her CD there. I should stress, you can't even find Golden on Amazon or CD Universe!

GAH!

OK, I think I've covered all the things that have been making me cranky lately. Don't mind me, I'm sure its just a PMSy thing. So to ease my tension...

Ah....Deep breaths...Focus on the Moody Angels.

~Sigh~

I'm better now.

Nicknames

Nicknames

Someone brought this up in one of the yahoo groups I frequent the other day. It got me to thinking quite a bit too. Nicknames are something that can really make you cringe. I've had a few in my life and I have to say that for the most part there is probably only 1 that didn't make me want to beat the crap out of the person speaking.

Let me list them, cos I like lists, and let you feel my strife.

1. Andy -- Erm..Hello here. I may be Andrea, but Andy for the most part is a guy, and that guy, is my father. This one was started by my 2 oldest nieces, and they wonder why we aren't close! In later years, I gave up, but insisted if you spell out this nickname, it's Andii. At least that looks feminine.

2. Cleo -- like any grade school girl I had long, flowing, hideous long hair, until I was about 10 or 11. I got it cut in a shoulder length bob then. All the boys in my class thought I was rather Queen of the Nile-ish. At the time, I wasn't very amused. Another nickname that stuck through high school. GAH!

3. Queen -- Picked this one up at one of my jobs. I inadvertently gave this one to myself. I told someone that I was the Queen of Weird, and from then on...I was Queen. This is a nickname I've always found amusing.

4. Hayho -- OH crikey what a long and short story this is. Let's just make it simple: Hayward Whore = Hayho. Or maybe it's Hayward's Whore. Or maybe I'm just dreaming again! Don't mind this one much, but it's gotten me into some trouble. Ah well, like I always say, DEAL WITH IT!

The point I'm making is this. Don't assume someone doesn't mind a shortened form of their name, or some cute little catchy thing that you associate with them. You have no idea the trauma it can cause. Oh and make sure you pronounce the name right too!

Grumbles..

That's another rant altogether.

But before I go.

My name is And-rea. I'm hoping the hyphen might help you figure out how "I" pronounce my name.

Wednesday Mind Hump

Wendnesday Mind Hump

It's hump day! It's hump day!

This Wednesday is Cow Appreciation Day so let's make this hump "udderly moovelous"! Using the letters of H-O-L-S-T-E-I-N list seven things on your fantasy wish list! The key word here is FANTASY!! So milk it for all it's worth!

Well before I start this I want to thank all the cows out there for making this possible! Moo, to you! I want to thank all the little cows! I want to thank all the big cows.. Oh and I want to thank these cows for having such a good time!!

OK, now that is out of my system, you said things on my fantasy wish list? Oh goodie..and yay for having an H and an L in Holstein!!!

Hayward, Justin -- like you didn't know that was coming

O the big "O" with the letter "H" man and the letter "L" man
Lodge, John aka LODGEY! --- like you didn't know that was coming either!

Stereo -- a Bose system thank you very much
Tons of chocolate sauce (to co with "H" & "L")
Erasure concert within traveling distance
I would wish for front row seats to a Moody Blues show, but I have 2/3 of them with me, so why bother?
New car -- mini cooper preferrably, but will my H and L fit inside?

Now that you're all warmed up let's do some "Getting To Know You" humping!

1. An artist paints your portrait while you are engaging in one of your favorite activities...what would you be doing? What would the title of the portrait be?
I would be sleeping! (what did you think I was going to say?) Letter "H" would be at the corner of the bed with his guitar, singing me to sleep. The pose would look something like this

only with "H" on the corner of the bed. (BTW buy this album it's great)

The title of this portrait? "Let me sing you a lullaby"

2. You come in a bottle and you have magical properties, what are you? Examples: genie, pancake syrup, etc... What would be on your instruction label?
Don't Shake Me! Whatever You Do, Don't Shake Me! will be on the label. I have the power to make you belch, but if you shake me, I'll explode!

I'm a can of Coke Classic!

3. You've just been selected as a poster child for a make-believe organization. What is the organization and why have they specifically chosen you?
SAMT is the organization. Save America's Musical Taste. They've chosen me, because I am the best person to explain to the citizen's of this great land of ours, why they need to stop buying albums by Britney, Christina, Hillary Duff and anything remotely resembling them...and any other talentless crap being passed off as music today.

I will show America a better musical future...

4. "You can fly, you can fly, you can fly"! ...and you are NOT Peter Pan! Who or what are you?
Well thank god, I'm not Peter Pan! I'm the Green Fairy! (watch Moulin Rouge to better understand!)

5. If you had a vanity horn on your vehicle (one which plays a song) what song would your horn blow to announce your arrival?
Not a hard one "Lovely To See You" the Moody Blues -- which used to be the tag line on my old template, but I can't find a place to put it on this one. sniffle!

Happy Hump Day to all of you! Now go on out there and get your own hump on!
