Demons The Series

I've been watching this series on BBC America through the recommendation of my good friend Tina. I had actually managed to see the first three episodes before BBC America started airing it and I knew I liked what I was watching.

What makes me wonder though is why BBC America is airing a series that only had 6 episodes. Once next week's show airs that's it. ITV has said it won't be making a second season.

I love this shows. Its great paranormal stuff, much better then the teen-romance versions of vampires that seem to be cropping up everywhere. Thank you again Stephanie Meyer for destroying the vampire legend.

Its kind of like Buffy meets Gene Hunt. Philip Glenister's character, Rupert Galvin is a freak hunting smiter who pretty much is Gene Hunt only fighting the bad guys in a different way. He's not quite right but you've got to like him.

I love the blind Mina who shows her snarky side in subtle ways. But its the teenage characters that steal the show Luke as the next Van Helsing and his friend that wants to be his girlfriend Ruby who is just adorable.

Should I mention the Half-Lives?

Nah, check out the site and see for yourselves.

Its not a show to get attached to, but its a fun watch if you have 6 hours to kill.

Its Cold Again

You know I'm really sick of the extra cold days coming on the weekends when I need to get shit done, but I'm a wuss. I will not go out in this crap if I really don't have to.

Grrr.

I'm a lazy wuss, that's sick to death of the temperatures being in the single digits.

Anyone else with me on this?

I want some unseasonably warm and I want it now. The ice and snow and insanely cold temperatures can go to hell in a handbasket. Please and thank you.

I do realize that its still January, but seriously, enough is fucking enough. I want warmth and I want it NOW!!!! Before I turn into a freaking ice cube!!!

I'm sick of walking around with a blanket around my shoulders and when I go outside with 3 scarves, gloves and 4 pairs of socks! OK, I'm joking about that, but you get the message right? I'm FUCKING COLD!

My New Book Blog

I hope some of you will follow me @ my new book blog. Its called A Chick Who Reads. I'll be sharing my reviews of books I've read, both romantic fiction and otherwise. I'll also be discussing books in general over there.

Check out my first post and say hi! My template is really gorgeous!

I'll be posting my first review tonight of Kelly Harte's book, Guilty Feet, published by Red Dress Ink.

Top 5 On Friday Week 228

Top 5 one hit wonders

You guys know the drill. Play along in the comments or in your journal. This meme is created for my site Music Memoirs. Feel free to go there and check out my other weekly memes and play along.

1. Stacey Q - Two Of Hearts: This was probably one of the cheesiest songs from the 80s but I always found myself bebopping around the house when it came one.

2. Dexy's Midnight Runners - Come On Eileen: No one hit wonder list is complete without this song! Its another 80s gem!

3. Deep Blue Something - Breakfast At Tiffany's: I've never understood why this song was the only hit for this band. The lead singer was easy on the eyes and they had some pretty good songs too!

4. Tal Bachman - She's So High: Ok, this guys failure to get another hit is wrong. Uh look at his name? You know Bachman Turner Overdrive...yeah...he's Bachman's son. OMG why didn't he do better. Oh yeah, he's good, so he can't make it big.

5. Edison Lighthouse - Love Grows (Where My Rosemary Goes): These were pretty much a bunch of guys out to make one hit and then create another band to do the same. I adore the cheesy goodness of this one.

I Hate Food That's Good For Me

I have a little tip for all of you. Those Jimmy Dean healthy breakfast sandwiches and their Walmart equivalents are crappy.

There are two reasons for this.

1. Egg whites are not tasty and turn into rubber discs in the best of microwaves.
2. The breakfast bread choices suffer. OMG in the Walmart one....they offer a whole wheat bagel. Its a disgrace to bagels everywhere. The croissants aren't bad but the yolkless egg ruins it.

I want real egg, not half an egg.

People, my gram ate eggs almost every morning of her life and she lived to be 101. That's not too shabby.

I want food that tastes like its worth eating and egg beaters just aren't it.

So take your healthified breakfast sandwiches and shove them, but leave me the turkey sausage, cos that's actually pretty nommy!

I'm Thinking Of Starting A Book Blog

I have a community for chicks who read on Livejournal, but I'd like to start my own blog for reviews and discussions of books I've read somewhere exclusively.

I have a blog on the eharlequin site but there's not much discussion there. Its just a bunch of reviews that no one seems to read and reading challenges. I've made some friends there but I want book discussions and if I'm just going to be blogging for myself, well I might as well create my own blog.

So that's what I'm going to do.

I just need a catchy title for my book blog.

Any suggestions?

Bye Bye Haloscan

I have used haloscan for comments on all of my blogs since I started blogging many many years ago. I got an email today that says that on Feb 11, they will go the way of all things.

There is is site that will allow me to import all of my old comments, assuming that's what I want to do.

I'm just not sure.

I generally loved Haloscan. I never had to worry about spambots attacking and for the most part, the program was very reliable.

Now I have to change that.

Pooh!

So I have to pick Echo or Blogger. The unknown or the crappy comment form that blogger provides.

Yuck.

Yes, people I'm not a huge fan of blogger commenting and the whacky words that they come up with so that I can prove I'm human and not a bot when I try to comment on other blogs.

This depresses me.

Have any of you tried Echo? Blogger commenting is my last choice, but I will resort to it if I absolutely have to.

Meet Sugar Plum Buttonhead

This is the newest kitty addition to our family. She comes to us from the Animal Rescue League in Pittsburgh and was the foster cat of my friend Tina.

Isn't she adorable?

And like all kitties that are white she finds the dirtiest spot in the house to sit so that her white fur doesn't stay white for very long!

Having a coal furnace taught me this. The whiter kitties are more attracted to coal piles than those kitties with darker fur.

Yesterday she was a whirling dervish of nastiness, today she is a mild mannered kitty who has decided she pretty much likes her new surroundings.

Welcome Plummie Button!

Missing Mondays

This week for Missing Monday I have to say I miss having a Ponderosa in our town.

How lame is that?

Granted my little hamlet of Charleroi On Mon has many delightful restaurants, from Salatinos River House Cafe, to Paolo's to La Fiesta. All of them nommy, but I miss my steak house!

See the Ponderosa people decided many years ago that we weren't worthy of them and moved their restaurant to the Walmart Plaza in Rostraver. However I hate that restaurant now. Its too big and too many of the tables make you feel like you are sitting in the middle of the room with the whole world staring at you.

See I'm a booth kinda girl. I don't mind tables but when the atmosphere makes me feel like the whole world is watching me eat, I just kinda don't like it. Hence me not going to Ponderosa in Rostraver anymore.

~sigh~

And I would much rather have someone cook my steak for me, then have to make it myself.

Boo to you Ponderosa.

Sarah Plain And Tall

Hallmark is airing the 3 movies about Sarah and Jacob. I remember the first time I watched the first movie. Glen Close and Christopher Walken were absolutely incredible in that made for TV movie.

How funny that these beautiful movies stemmed from a child's book that wasn't even 100 pages long.

What's even funnier is that Christopher Walken plays a nice guy that's for the most part normal! I wonder how he got talked into taking that acting job! However he is fantastic in these movies. If you like period films, you definitely want to hunt them down on DVD if you can't catch them on the Hallmark Channel.

I have to give Hallmark credit, when they make films they seem to draw their stories from the nicest places, children's stories, Debbie Macomber novels, biographies.

Sure some of them are sappy and heart-wrenching, but for the most part all of them are good, but the Sarah trilogy is the absolute best.

Proopdoggie Dog Does Standup!

I finally got to see Greg Proops do standup tonight and OMG he's so fucking funny.

Greg's stand up is always snarky and irreverent and usually full of the f-bomb, which makes it all the more amusing, but what really made my day is how he heckles the audience.

He's like those jokes about In Soviet Russia...

So for Greg its In Soviet Russia comedian heckles you.

Oh and one thing is for sure nothing is sacred in the land of the Proopdog. He took on music, the president, the secretary of state, Paul McCartney and the one legged girl and Christmas.

Bless his cotton socks.

I never laughed so hard in all my life.

The evening would have been perfect had my check engine light not come on about half way home.

Apparently my car likes The Waterfront as much as I do.

Grrrr

Top 5 On Friday

Top 5 albums from the last decade that shaped your life

You guys know the drill. Play along in the comments or in your journal. This meme is created for my site Music Memoirs. Feel free to go there and check out my other weekly memes and play along.

1. Elvis Costello - When I Was Cruel

This was the first album of EC's that I bought since Spike in 1989. I really got into his music with this one. It's also one of his most solid recordings in the last 10 years.

Sure Costello puts out quality work with almost every album, but this particular record is close to perfect and so are some of the bonus tracks that come with the European and Japanese editions. I consider this album to be a must have for any music lover.

I also know that if I he had done North at the time I was starting to get back into his music, I never would have been quite the fan that I am now.

2. The Moody Blues - December: How can a Christmas album shape my life?

Well, it really wasn't until I owned this album that I gave Christmas music a chance again.

Several years of working retail spoiled holiday music for me. When this album came out, I found I still had love for it, and now I look forward to all the holiday releases each year.

3. Mika - The Boy Who Knew Too Much

Last year's sophomore offering by Mika really changed the way I felt about pop music. Finally after so many years of shite, there was a good album, by someone in this genre.

It's dance-y, it's fun, and it doesn't sound like everyone out there. Oh and its not overly obnoxious, a huge plus when it comes to pop music these days.

4. Tommy James - Hold The Fire: I discovered this album when I had a huge crush on that damn DJ from The Pickle. The love for this album is probably the only good thing that came out of those 6 months when I was making an ass out of myself. Its good music. If you like the stuff Tommy did in the 60s, you'll like this, plus he did a smashing re-recording of his hit, Sweet Cherry Wine.

5. Gordon Lightfoot - Harmony: Words cannot express the love I developed for Gordon after I heard the song Inspiration Lady from this album. That song along with all the others are fantastic.

I don't think I wouldn't have allowed myself to open up to country music if it wasn't for Gordon, who's folk borders on country more than a little bit.

OMG OMG OMG

Greg Proops is going to be @ the Improv....

OK, he's @ the Improv.

Tonight and tomorrow.

OMG OMG OMG!!

I feel a Squee building.

I also need to figure out how the hell I can go to see him.

Because...OMG! The Improv is tiny tiny tiny in Pittsburgh. I'd be able to see Greg up close and adorable!

~flails~

In case any of you don't know this: I LOVE GREG PROOPS!!!!!!!!

SQUEE!!

Its Been A Bad Day

Things at work are hellish. I'm so damn cold its ridiculous and all I want to do is sleep.

I don't even have the inclination to make my regular blogroll rounds.

I feel crappy.

I want to read, but my mind isn't wrapping around the book I picked.

Oh and have I mentioned, I'm sick of being Super Chef?

I just need my veg time.

I need to be left alone.

I need a beer! Or VODKA! Or at least a tylenol PM!

Weighing In On The Late Night Wars

First, let me say, I don't really watch any of the late night talk shows unless there is a performer on that I really like. Or Jay Leno's doing Headlines.

Yeah. I like Leno. But that's not what I came here to rant about.

3 guys that have had TV jobs for years. One network that's screwed them all. None of them are all that funny and a fourth that just has too much to say.

But what gets me are the Coco freakazoids and Coco himself whining over the NBC plan to move Leno to 11:35.

OK, children. The hour log prime time slot failed miserably. We all get that. Though I admit it was more the guests that he had to have on rather than the comedy etc that caused this to fail. Plus prime time numbers have to be better than late night numbers.

But nevermind that. What could Leno do in 30 minutes? Probably not much. That's why this venture would fail too. If Coco would have sat tight for another 7 months, his Tonight Show would have moved right back to 11:35 and that probably would have been it. Coco should have been happy. He followed Leno for 17 years, another few months wouldn't have hurt him.

Instead, he stomps his foot and whines, and gets to break his contract, which will allow him to likely have his own 11:30 show on Fox by the fall, and he takes with him between 30-40 million dollars oh and reports say, the network is paying out big to the band and crew too.

Forgive me Coco, I don't feel sorry for you at all.

Jimmy Kimmel tells Jay to leave Coco and his shows alone because they have families to raise. I fucking hope both could raise a couple of kids on 30 + million dollars.

Truth be told, they all disgust me. Coco for being a whiner. Kimmel for being a fucktard. Lettermen for being a non-funny sleazebag, and Jay...well I like Jay, but Jay for not standing up for himself. However, just a little note to all you Cocoheads, Leno has a contract with NBC too, and it probably would have cost them more to break that than Coco's.

So the big asshole in all of this isn't Leno, its NBC. A station that has nothing to offer in Primetime at all. Which is why my late night show of choice is The Colbert Report.

Winter Blahs

I'm really getting disgusted with this winter. I'm also jealous of all the people that can do those 365 photo meme things. Right now I have no inspiration for my photography. There's just nothing. Its dull, its gray, its meh. I'm also broke, so the only traveling I'm doing is via the book superhighway. Thankfully I can go on a lot of travels there, but that's not nearly as fun as going somewhere and actually doing something.

That's where the problem lies.

1. I have no money!
2. Mom's still couch ridden which means I'm still super chef. (Have I mentioned I'm getting sick of being super chef?)

I did get to Jack's last night though and I got to catch up on one of the episodes of Sarah Jane Adventures that I haven't watched, which is pretty much..uh....all of them. ARGH!

I also need to start watching Being Human again, which means I need to catch up on some of the last episodes from Series 1 because I missed them. I wish the TV didn't have such a pull on me. Oh and tomorrow White Collar starts again. I wish I didn't care about that show, actually I don't, I just like the hot guy in the show...ARGH! I think I'll just read until spring.

Missing Mondays

Here's a little something different for Missing Mondays. As I've been scrambling for something new to listen to lately, I've come to the conclusion that I miss Duran Duran.

Yes, I am a child of the 80s. I love new wave and Duran Duran were one of my favorite bands from that decade.

They are still together, but in the last 20 years their music has been sorely lacking. The Wedding Album and Astronaut were the only two albums I have loved by the band since their hey day ended in 1987.

I miss good Duran Duran, not the shite they put out on Red Carpet Massacre and definitely not the shite of Pop Trash and Medazzaland....and I'm not even sure how to catagorize Thank You, because that is worse than shite.

Duran Duran are a band I love, but lately I've wanted to abandon them because their efforts have been so lousy that it pains me to listen sometimes and it really hurts to know that a band you love is becoming awful.

Oh and while I'm at it, I just miss the Moody Blues. C'mon guys, its been years since December, can't we have one more album before you ride off into the sunset? Justin? I'd take a solo album too.

I'm Proud Of Myself

I'm about halfway through Stephen Baxter's Emperor right now. I believe I've said it before, but this isn't really my kind of book to read, but then again, neither was the Einstein biography I read awhile back, and I ended up enjoying it.

This one is turning out to be much the same, although I know I'm not getting as much out of it as some readers might, as my knowledge of Roman history is pretty minimal. Its still a very interesting book.

What is distressing to me is that there are 3 or 4 more books in this series and I know that at some point I will want to read them, just to see how the story plays out. (as opposed to Twilight which I wish would go far away).

If I'm lucky I may finish it today, if not, tomorrow. I only have about 140 pages to go.

Top 5 On Friday - Week 226

Top 5 band members that are neither the lead singer or the lead guitarist. (feel free to tell us why you chose them too!)

You guys know the drill. Play along in the comments or in your journal. This meme is created for my site Music Memoirs. Feel free to go there and check out my other weekly memes and play along.

1. John Lodge (bass, vocals) from The Moody Blues: Lodgey is my favorite Moody Man. Right now I'm trying to figure out what this Sunny Sunshine Faces song is..and who is singing it and why its credited to John. I'm so confused. Oh and have any of you seen the latest picture of Justin Hayward that was posted with his Q & A on the band's website? OMG, JUSTIN, looking way way old. Looking Gordon Lightfoot old, but Justin doesn't have the health issues that Gordon has. So sad.

2. Nick Rhodes (keyboards) from Duran Duran: I love my platinum blonde Nicky. I still think that one day he will come out of the closet though. I think I'd have a bit more respect for him, if he did.

3. Vince Clarke (keyboards and other assorted things that make bleeps and bloops) from Erasure: Hey its a duo. There's a vocalist and there's Vince. I love both blokes, so Vince wins in this spot. Also he's got geeky cuteness going for him!

4. Micky Dolenz (Drums/percussion) from The Monkees: Hey hey he's a Monkee and vocals are up in the air with this band since everybody got a shot, so I pick Micky!

5. Steve Nieve: Elvis Costello's awesome keyboardist when needed. He's a nice bloke too.

Its At Times Like This

I wish I were in Nevada.

My favorite, indie hotie, Judd Starr is going to be doing some live dates, and I think of all the new artists I've been exposed to in the last few years, he's one of the very best and also one of the prettiest.

Yup, Judd is about as easy on the eyes as they come.

Oh and he can sing too. However sometimes that's a bit hard to remember how good a singer he is, because I'm a girl and I tend to go all weak in the knees when I see a really good-looking bloke.

But in case you think I am one of those girls that is blinded by a pretty face. Listen to his music here. Scroll down and listen to Please Penny, because that is one of my favorite songs in the entire universe.

Now tell me again why I can't be in the Reno area?

Oh yeah, I'm broke.

Drat!

What Are You Reading Now

I have books on my brain. Currently I'm trying for the third time to read Stephan Baxter's Emperor. Its not been easy going for me. The langauge is a bit dry, but I'm determined to make it through the 300-ish pages of this book.

I openly admit to preferring light reading. I like my Harlequin romances. I like books by Debbie Macomber, Nora Roberts, Janet Evanovich, but I also like to read things every now and then that challenge me.

I think the last book I read like that was The Lovely Bones. That book, just did nothing for me too, but I finished it. It took awhile. I don't understand what the huge hype was surrounding it. It wasn't a great afterlife story. In fact everything about the book was rather depressing. I prefered The Shack and even that book left me feeling a bit meh by the time I turned the last page.

Now don't get me wrong, books don't need to always have happy endings or always be happy, but I generally don't like to be depressed when I'm reading. That's not why I read. I read for escape and for entertainment, ocassionally I read to learn something.

So what are you reading right now? What are some of the toughest books you've managed to get through?

Missing Monday On Tuesday

I keep missing Missing Monday. Do you think its Freudian?

Today I have to say the thing I'm missing the most is HEAT! I'm sick of wearing snow boots everywhere I go. I'm sick of sleeping with 4 blankets on the bed. I'm sick of sleeping with socks on and my warm fuzzy robe.

I want warmth!

I want a day that's about the freezing point!

I don't think its too much to ask for. Just a teeny tiny bit of warmth.

Oh to have a few days of totally unseasonably warm.

Not like they are having this summer in Australia. I think our friend Mal might have melted over there, but a little bit of warmth would be so lovely.

Raise your hand if you'd like a day or two in the 60s!

Yay Leno's Canceled

Now before you think I'm getting pissy, I'm not. I love Jay, a helluva lot more than I like Conan or Dave. The reason I'm over the moon about The Jay Leno show going away, is that the pilot David Tennant shot for NBC may make it to our screens in the early fall.

Yes, Rex Is Not Your Lawyer is coming to NBC!

Woo hoo!

David Tennant is ours now!

And I speak on behalf of all the women in the US when I say, we ain't giving him back either!

So if you don't mind, I'm going to do the happy dance of joy now!

I Don't Wanna Be A Grown Up Anymore

For the last 2 weeks I've been officially grown up and it sucks. Royally. Mom's back has been bugging her, so I've been:

1. Caretaker

2. Cook, making sure not only she eats, but dad and Raymond and on several occasions my sister and her other son.

3. Laundry lady.

4. Total house cleaner etc.

On top of it all in that time...the one cat died....I've had to do all the grocery shopping and make sure mom's household bills were being paid...on top of doing mine.

I'm very crabby right now, because there's no damn place to sit in our living room, because Mom's on the couch...dad's in the chair, and he's always in the living room now....and the other two chairs are totally uncomfortable, mostly because they are Mom's chairs.

Yes, I'm being irrational. Most likely a little childish, but I'm flipping frustrated, because for the most part I wonder why a man that's 84 years old still doesn't know how to get food for himself, that isn't a flipping donut!

Oye vey.

And now I have to take him out to dinner.

And no he's not senile.

Head desk.

Being grown up is seriously overrated. The only good thing about it, is that you can drink beer/wine/liquor.

3. More Costello concert CDs. There's another one of the "live" collection discs coming out this month and I hope to be able to get it. Its Live At Hollywood Hight

Thursday Thirteen

13 Things That Have Amused Me Lately

1. My cat Skimble who really likes to watch TV. He does. He gets into America's Funniest Home Videos. Sometimes he gets into it a bit too much.

2. The Master on Doctor Who: OK, how can you not be amused by John Simm turning the world into a whole bunch of John Simms!

3. Fantasy Summer by Susan Pfeffer: A teenage romance I found and either read for the first time or re-read. I'm not sure which. It was fun and so unrealistic in some places that it made for a good many giggles.

4. Last night's quasi Friends reunion on Cougar Town: Firstly I don't like Cougar Town and I never liked Friends, but I watched last night out of curiosity and was just a wee bit amused.

5. Brooke Shields as the white trash neighbor on The Middle: Do I have to say any more?

6. The Snow: I'm both amused and angered by the obnoxious white stuff. Angered that I've lost a day's wages as a result, amused that I got to curl up on the couch for an extra day. (after almost getting myself killed trying to get to work)

7. That Chicken commercial that Mike posted on his blog here. Nothing funnier than a dumb blonde boob commercial that's actually about a chicken sandwich. Go watch!

8. The previews for the film Leap Year. I really want to see this movie!!

9. This LOL pic

10. Fat rolling cats!

20091226_14

11. Tiger Woods: Oh c'mon now! How can this guy not amuse you! I also applaud him for his apparent stamina. How many mistresses can the guy have!

12. Hungry Girl aka Lisa Lillien: She tries to healthify food so we can all be skinny bitches. I love and hate her at the same time. Her daily emails amuse me though, except when she demeats or over Splendas stuff. I like meat and I like sugar, wanna make something of it, bitch!

13. Craig Ferguson: Cute, Scottish and Silly. What is there not to be amused by. I only wish I could stay awake to watch his show and still be able to function the next day.

1 Down 99 to Go

I've got one book read for the Harlequin book challenge. I'm almost finished with my second.

Woo hoo.

I know I'll make the 100 books. I hope I can make a lot more. I have so many fantastic books to make it through and I'm very excited.

I've also got scads of Ebooks to read on my computer when this room warms up enough for me to sit here for long periods of time.

Right now, I don't even like sitting in this room for more than 20 minutes.

Brrr. I don't know what it is about this room. Its one of the coldest rooms in the winter and in the summer its one of the hottest.

Yuck.

But it doesn't matter what the weather, I will at least be entertained with some good smutty novels! Woo hoo!

Missing Mondays On Tuesday

I'm so lame with doing my own meme. But oddly the thing I was missing today hit me when I saw a Schawn's freezer truck. No it wasn't anything from that to your door grocery store, it was Charlie Chips! OK, Charles Chips.

When I was little we always had a big tin of these chips in our house and oh were they so very good.

We used to get awesome marshmallow cookies from the Charlie Chip man too.

Oh how I miss those days.

We had a JT man too from JT's General Store. That's gone the way of all things too.

At least I can get a bag of Charles Chips if I get to Cracker Barrel.

Oh How I Love Winter

This is what I love about Charleroi. I nearly got killed trying to get to work this morning because they didn't bother to treat the roads.

Uh snow...subzero windchills, shouldn't you put something down?

Apparently not.

I made it almost all the way to work, but when I got to the road I'd turn on to get there...it was more than a little snow covered.

I then drove up to the Exxon station..called home and my boss to let one know I couldn't get there and the other to know I was safe, then I attempted to come home.

I got as far as McDonald's in Charleroi when I gave up for about a half hour.

The Vanilla Latte fortified me enough to attempt the roads again.

OH MY SWEET JESUS!

I prayed to him the whole time.

I slipped and skidded and nearly collided with walls and parked cars from 5th St to my home.

OMFG!

They didn't bother to clear anything until 11:30.

And its still flurring with a chance of a few more inches tonight.

Winter GO AWAY!

Just GTFO!!!!

I've had enough! I'm throwing in the towel!

Have I Mentioned Having A Coal Furnace Sucks?

If I haven't allow me to get that point across.

Having a coal furnace sucks!

I can see my own breath and I am in my damn house.

And people wonder why I'm crabby!

I cannot get warm!

And I need to get to Walmart or KMart but I don't want to go outside because its colder out there!

I can't bitch about anything else because I'm too fucking cold to think about anything other than being too fucking cold!

Here's hoping it warms up before my brain totally freezes and I can't come up with a coherent thought.

How did people in the 1800's live? I'm totally serious about this!

The Coldest Night Of The Year

When winter comes, it sure doesn't waste any time moving in. Its at these times when I try to remind myself that a little more than a hundred years ago, most people didn't have all the fancy furnaces that are about now, but lordy it doesn't help. Its mother humping cold!

The room where my desktop is just happens to be the coldest room in our house.

Right now I'm in the process of trying to put some stuff on a flash drive so I can use my notebook in warmer regions of my house.

However after 5 minutes I'm an ice cube and I have to stop working.

Which is also why its taken me over an hour to type this damn entry.

I'm a fucking ICE CUBE!

I need my blanket. A heater! David Tennant! erm...a blanket and a heater.

I swear we never had this kind of cold this early in the season...

Brrrr!!!!!!!

I'm cold, toss another cat on!

Things To Do In 2010

~ Read more books!

~ Buy a new or newer used car.

~ Decide what to do about Grandma's house.

~ Clean more or at least get one thorough cleaning done.

But above all else, try to become more comfortable with the hand that's been dealt.

These are not resolutions...they are mostly necessities. Not sure if I can manage them this year, but I will try.

And here's a resolution for the higher power from me.

~ Do not take any of Mistresses furbabies!
