Gratuitous Picture Goodness

Because my hard drive died, and because I can't update any of my stories cos I'm too upset about this stupid computer to write anything, I'm posting beautiful pictures. Plus each time I went to write in Love Eternal something bad happens, Works crashed at work while I was updating and at home the hard drive went kaplooey.

So until things are normal..I give you...

CONCUBINES!

He's pouting! Isn't he darling?

And now for something completely different: Justin

Isn't he pretty?

Randomness

I wanted to update Man Out of Time tonight, but I got wrapped up in a few things over at my LiveJournal.

First I answered the 5 interview questions that SullyMel sent my way. That actually took an hour of my evening. So go to my livejournal and read my answers!

Then I got rather caught up in my one fanfiction: Want to Be With You....The Justin and Rebecca sequel. This one is nearing it's completion. I'm very pleased with the story too. I hope everyone that's been reading it is enjoying it as well.

I promise that an update on that story will be forthcoming. There's just so much to do, and so many stories that I'm working on. I hate neglecting any of them, but with all my computers, I guess it had to happen.

I've Reformatted My Life

Well last night this lovely computer I'm working on, finally decided to give up the ghost. I have alot of downloading to do, to get this thing back in tip top shape. (this means with all the programs that disappeared thanks to the reformat)

I don't want my stories to suffer, but there is only so much time in the day. So instead of 2 stories updated a day, it's going to be one. Today I'm updating the Justin and Rebecca Sequel over at the Live Journal. It's now got a title: Want to Be With You.

Oh and for those of you that couldn't watch Coupling on BBC America last night. I'm so sorry for you! My lovely Richard Coyle was Nekkid. Unfortunately no one did screen captures of him adorably sans clothes from the first 15 minutes into the show. There is one from the end at his b-day party.

Oh and what the hell is up with blogger now. I swear everytime I login to update it's different. I think this damn thing is deliberately trying to provoke me.

But who cares about Blogger when you have this to look at

Reviews and Rants

Elvis Costello's North cd has happened to fall into my hands a few months early. So tonight while I went on my walk (5 miles again tonight), I thought I'd give it a listen. I've found that through the headphones of a walkman is often the best way to get a first impression of a cd: No interruptions, very few outside noises etc.

Elvis has done a complete 360 with this new album. When I Was Cruel was in his words "A Rowdy Rhythm Record" and bless his cotton sox for that. North is no where near rowdy and far away from Rhythm.

Here is a copy of the track list.

Prelude/You Left Me In The Dark
Someone Took The Words Away
When Did I Stop Dreaming
You Turned To Me
Fallen
When It Sings
Still
Let Me Tell You About Her
Can You Be True?
When Green Eyes Turn Blue
I'm In The Mood Again
Impatience
Too Blue (bonus track to Japanese edition)
North (special track available from the Internet)

I think I got as far as When Green Eyes Turn Blue before taking the cd out and going back to the car for another. I was left rather unimpressed by this record. I'm not saying that the arrangements weren't fantastic, because that would be a lie. Plus Mr. Costello is joined on this record by the Steve Nieve, Pete Thomas, the Jazz Passengers, the Mingus Band and the Brodsky Quartet. A finer bunch of musicians couldn't be found.

What bothered me about this album? Well 10 songs in and there was nothing that stood out and grabbed me. It wasn't like Painted from Memory with gems like : This House Is Empty Now, Such Unlikely Lovers or like the Juliet Letters with Almost Had A Weakness, Jackson Monk and Rowe and The Birds Will Still Be Singing.

I feel almost compelled to say this album bored me with technicality. Elvis you AREN'T Diana Krall (and thank fucking god for that...two ugly hobags of her nature are not needed on this earth) so stop trying to sing like her. Leave the piano playing to Steve Nieve and pick up your guitar.

I get the feeling that several of these tracks are about Cait and possibly She Who's Name Shall Not Be Mentioned Again on This Blog. What I found lacking, though the lyrics are as poignant as ever, was any real emotion. I found that to rather disturbing, because Elvis Costello's music is full of emotion: Hate, Lust, Anger, Disgust...etc. These songs had none of that. Nothing that had the heart wrenching cries of I Want You which one would almost expect when you divorce a woman that you've professed to love dearly after 15 years...

Makes me think of the hypocrisy of 15 petals...but I won't go there. Yet after listening to North I'm left wondering why good songs that he wrote several years ago haven't been recorded and released yet, songs like: Burnt Sugar, You Lie Sweetly, Heart Shaped Bruise, and Suspect My Tears.

My parting thoughts about Elvis Costello and the North CD..."Elvis I hope you get sick of singing ballads again really soon"

bloggers note "I will still be purchasing this cd, because sucky though I find it, I still love Mr. Costello and one day this may grow on me"

Friday Five

This is a Friday Five I find irresistible

1. If your life were a movie, what would the title be? Bad Luck Girl - Trust me people if you knew my life thus far, this is the most appropriate title that I could come up with.

2. What songs would be on the soundtrack?

XTC - Mayor of Simpleton
Shawn Colvin - Sunny Came Home
The Smiths - How Soon is Now?
The Smiths - Unhappy Birthday
The Monkees - Daydream Believer
The Beatles - Paperback Writer
Elvis Costello - I Hope You're Happy Now
Elvis Costello - Sulky Girl
Elvis Costello - Man Out of Time

3. Would it be a live-action film or animated? Why?
A live action film. I refuse to be a cartoon, cos I wouldn't come out as cute as David Bowie did on his new album cover.

4. Casting: who would play you, members of your family, friends, etc?

Me: Pheobe Cates or Winona Ryder

My Parents: Andy Griffith (you wouldn't not know it's my dad) and Patricia Routledge as my mom..superb casting if I do say so myself

My psychotic sister: Roseanne

My quasi normal brother: Michael Douglas

The Men in my life: Richard Coyle (grins) Greg Proops, Jeff Davis....with cameos by Justin Hayward, Danny Elfman and Alton Brown

My Freaky Friends: Ms Garafalo (whose name I've spelt horribly), anyone know any twin actresses to play my evil sisters? Oh yeah and Eddie Izzard ..Im not sure who he's playing but he's in the movie.

Other random walk ons and such: Jack Davenport, Johnny Depp, Tim Burton, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Anthony Head, Renee Zellweger (she gets her butt kicked by someone), Hugh Grant stops by, John Taylor of Duran Duran tries again to prove that he can act as does Madonna, cos she'll take any part she can get.

5. Describe the movie preview/trailer.

A poor defenseless female sets out on her life only to have calamities at every corner. Love doesn't exist to her because men run screaming as soon as they see her...Will she make it through her life with sanity intact? Will her well meaning parents make her jump off the bridge in her small town? Or will she find love in the strong (ha ha ha) arms of the lovely man played by actor Richard Coyle. Only time will tell

And since I mentioned him.....

Musical Musings

I've decided that in the next few months I'm going to be very broke. The CD and DVD releases of the next 3 months are incredible. The RIAA needs to shut it's fat trap. They are going to be getting more than their fair share of my cash. So is the BBC come to think of it.

Here are some of the offerings of the next few months, particularly Sept and Oct.

David Bowie - Reality (go check out the cd art, it's awesome. A cartoon David)

Elvis Costello - North (Did you doubt that I would have to own a copy of this?)

Elvis Costello - 3 more reissues : Trust , Punch the Clock, and Get Happy

Erasure - Hits (CD and a DVD of videos in October)

Duran Duran - There's some kind of DVD out this fall 2 discs too ARGH

Moody Blues - Don't know a title or a date...just know that it's coming. C'mon Justin...get with the program!!!

Not to mention things that are supposed to be out in the very near future or just came out.

Cheap Trick - Special One with a bonus DVD (Out now..and I must have it..cos I've loved them for so long)

Siouxsie and the Banshees - Seven Year Itch (new live cd out now! I think there's a dvd too)

Coupling Season 2 on Oct 28. That's a happy Halloween to me!

Ah Coupling....sigh....Coupling...must watch Coupling...must see my darling lovely Richard Coyle.

But wait..more on the RIAA..cos we all need a laugh out of it

I stole this from Christine...who is part of my Burn it - CD Swap Group

Top 11 Signs your ISP has given you up to the RIAA as a dangerous KaZaA user:

11. All the files in your favorite MP3 play list are now "Lars Ulrich sings 'Feelings'"

10. Your KaZaA rating changes to "Defendant"

9. Eminem insults your mother in his next single

8. Recording Industry Association of America president Hillary Rosen sends you e-mail messages with embedded .wav files of heavy breathing

7. All the spam in your inbox is from Motion Picture Association CEO Jack Valenti

6. You get a bill retroactively charging you 99 cents per downloaded track. Total bill: $29,700

5. A Tommy Mottola screen saver suddenly pops up on your computer

4. Vanilla Ice and MC Hammer picket your home with signs that read, "Piracy don't pay my bills"

3. You receive a request from someone using outdated hacker wannabe slang claiming a friend said you could "hook me up" with the latest Snoop Dogg album

2. You suddenly have numerous songs from someone named Avril Lavigne

1. CD-shaped crop circles appear in your backyard

Some more musical musings before I go all Coupling on you with more pics of RICHARD COYLE

The complete mix for the Burn It - Summer Edition is posted at Art of the Mix. For those of you too lazy to go there, here's the setlist:

Moody Blues - Deep
Oingo Boingo - Skin
Elvis Costello - I Want You
Peter Murphy - The Sweetest Drop
Siouxsie and the Banshees - Melt!
David Bowie - As the World Falls Down
The Damned - Eloise

How can you not love that face? He's gorgeous!

You can never have enough Richard Coyle beauty if you ask me.

I'm snarky, how are you?

Allow me to say "fuck you" to the world in general today. I am so sick of imbeciles and computers and imbeciles with computers. Wait..that last one may apply to me.

Since my computer went all netless nearly a month ago, doing story updates has been quite a chore. Every computer I use has a different version of Microsoft Works. The one I'm using now has the dinosaur version 4.0 while the other two are both 7.0 and higher. Needless to say the higher numbers aren't compatible with the lower numbers. (Can you see how I'm doing alot of extra work?) Plus for some reason when I save files from my network, it doesn't always happen. If I didn't post my stories online. I'd be screwed. I lost a page and a half of Love Eternal thanks to a thunderstorm, and when I pulled the story up, I realized that another post wasn't there. So today I'm destined to be eternally aggravated.

I was reading at Heather's blog and Deb's Blog about the RIAA and how we're all going to be in prison soon, oh yeah and about Wacko Jacko saying it's all wrong! Well something like that.

Allow me to raise a few finer points on why people download music and not buy it.

1. It's crap. (coughs in Linds' general direction and says White Stripes)

2. The single medium is all but extinct. You can't go out and by just a song on cd. At least not in the classic 45 sense. Only major artists get their singles released on cd. So you have the choice of downloading it illegally or buy the whole album taking the chance that it's not going to completely suck.

3. There's nothing extra added to most US singles when they do get released. Check out some of the cd singles from Europe and you will find that they have the videos on them as well. Which is fantastic, cos Mtv doesn't play videos anymore. Hell I'm not sure if VH-1 does either.

4. US discs nevah evah evah get bonus tracks! When I do buy music, I tend to spend extra to get the fun additions like bonus tracks, dvd extras etc. Though I offer kudos to the artistst that have had Ltd Editions with these features/extras. Claps go to Sarah Brightman, Tori Amos and Dave Gahan.

5. Back catalogs of artists recordings aren't stocked in stores or kept in print in most cases. I very rarely fall in love with something new. Currently I can't even think of one exception, though I am impressed with Lisa Marie Presley's album. I'm just not impressed enough to buy it. So to the shops..If yah stocked the cds I'd buy em. To the RIAA if it were in print I'd buy it.

(note to Rhino...get with the Costello reissues you lazy wankers. Same to the label reissuing the Damned's material)

OK...enough of that topic.

My Burn It - Summer Edition Mix is nearly done. I'm excited to say the Coupling Theme song will be on it, as well as Adam Ant's Beautiful Dream. The Ant song is delightfully naughty and make out worthy. The Coupling Theme : Perhaps Perhaps Perhaps is done by Geri Halliwell. (not the version you hear on the show and not the Doris Day original). Now when this make out mix is complete someone (namely Richard Coyle) needs to come make out with me.

Ah Richard Coyle beauty. Everyone should be smiling now. Ok, everyone but Georgia MacKenzie who I'm wishing straight to perdition. Evil wenchling who is dating my geekmuffin. Stop it! Stop it, Now! I say. Why can't any of my concubines be single?

Oh dear god, here's another beauty. Just call me a Coylewhore from now on. Richard's the man. I feel another reordering of concubine's coming on.

It's a battle of beauty between young Mr. Coyle and the lovely middle aged Mr. Hayward.

Fuck it..it's a tie....Threesome time!

Coupling Season 4 is so going to suck

Ok for me it is. How can I watch episodes without Jeff Murdoch? How dare he have other commitments! I feel completely let down. On a happy note though, after staring at all the pictures of Richard from the website, I have been inspired to write a Coupling Fanfic. I'm not sure how long it will take for it to get started, but I have an idea of how I want it to go already.

Oh and why are some fans so obnoxious? Someone made a lustful comment about Richard at the messageboard on the site, and someone quickly chimed in, that you'd have to fight Georgia MacKenzie (slutbag girlfriend) for him. Well, duh, but people are allowed to fantasize. Why is that so wrong?

Personally I wouldn't mind Richard tied to my bed covered in whipped creme a la Patrick. I think it would be a tasty treat, and I don't want my dream dosed by someone mentioning a significant other. It ruins my day. So as you can see by my little hating tag at the side of the blog here, Ms. Georgia is amongst my least favorite people.

I leave you with some more useless Richard beauty.....

And I accomplished what this weekend

Well I'm about done with my cdr trades, as soon as I finish my entry here I'm going to burn the Costello show from March 29th for my buddy Colin in the UK. So that is accomplished.

I also walked 5 miles today at the walking path in Monessen. Wootness for me. My walking might be curtailled do to inclement weather though it seems. I've heard that there are storms headed our way for tomorrow afternoon. WAH!

The Justin Sequel was updated once this weekend, and I'm working on Love Eternal. Time restraints, namely Chuck E. Cheese, seeing Pirates of the Carribean and finding the DVD of the Moody Blues: The Legend of the Band made getting all the stories updated impossible. I promise Man Out of Time will get an update tomorrow.

As to the Mix CD for the Burn it Summer Edition...I didn't get my list til late last night...so I'm going to be doing that after work tomorrow. I do have a terrific cover for it. It's one of Edward Gorey's pics from the Amphigorey series. That is if I'm correct. It's a great twisted pic with a verse underneath....I scanned it from my friend Erin's book.

So I accomplished nearly everything on the list...are you proud?

A few Coupling comments.

1. Not enough Jeff on tonights episode! I am saddened by that. I need Jeff to keep my day going..as well as my night...so because of that...a few Jeff pics.

That last one cos I just want to grab my darling Richard and cuddle him to pieces then snog him silly.

2. Not enough Coupling sites on the web with Droolworthy pics of my lovely Richard.

3. Am I the only one that finds Susan to be a trifle bit annoying (In a good way, but annoying still)

4. That threesome with Jeff and Patrick really needs to happen..and with ME!

Weekend Update...

Ok...things are proceeding nicely for the 'too do' list this weekend. This is not only surprising but gratifying. It's 8 pm on Saturday (looks about and realizes that I'm sitting at a computer on a Saturday night..what a loser I am!) and I've accomplished almost half of the list.

Applause are in order...Really they are!

So far...

I didn't have to kill any small children at Chuck E. Cheese! Wootness! My own nephews were very well behaved, and the other children out and about today were mostly of the toddler variety...(so cuteness overrides obnoxious..therefore they live)

Oh and one of the dad's (without a mom I might add) looked like Richard Coyle. (his son was a cutie too) It's such a shame I don't have any guts to talk to said sexy dad. :( It's quite funny, but I'm very much like the Jeff character on Coupling..not very good if your a girl. I'd much rather be like Jane. Jane is my new idol!

I saw Pirates of the Carribean today. Let me be the next in line to say, "This movie kicks ass!" It has a great cast including: Johnny Depp (that is reason enough to go...and his performance is stellar and hilarious), Orlando Bloom (drool buckets anyone?), Jonathen Price (Don't Cry for Him Argentina) and lastly...but certainly not least....Jack Davenport of.... COUPLING!

The special effects are fantastic...and all in all it's a great way to spend 2 hours, especially in the crappy heat! It's well worth the price of admission. So get off your asses and go see it!

(oh...Phil Collins is doing the music for the next disney animated movie! Woot Woot!)

Oh and back to Jack Davenport, here's a picture :

Finished on of the cdr trades I was working on. I have 2 cds to burn for my friend Colin in the UK..and 3 discs to burn for the Burn-It Summer Edition. I've added the song Strawberry Wine to my mix, it's by Pat Benatar and it's gorgeous.

So, for once, I've made headway on the 'too do' list!

And Today I Did This

Watched Coupling with my mom tonight at 8....they played "Gotcha" which doesn't have nearly enough 'Jeff' in it for my liking. I have been spending a lot of free time at a rather lovely website for Richard. I have to say, he's officially my only concubine in my age group. He's only a year or two older than me.

Hey Richard dump your girlfriend and come take me! (over and over and over)

By the way...this is how I like my Richard:

Oh and to make Onesy and Pooh happy.

Ok, besides a blissful half hour of Coupling I did do other things.

I walked 5 miles today! (that would be my Moody Walk Out..a jaunt on the walking path to the tunes of the Moody Blues)

I'm almost done with that book I've been reading "Sow Not in Anger" I may actually finish it before the night's over.

Updated my one fanfic about Justin Hayward over at the live journal, and again pondered writing a fanfic about Jeff from Coupling. I wonder if anyone would read it. I swear no one reads my Justin stories...and I've put so much time and love into them :(

I think I've done enough for today.

What are my weekend goals?

1. Burn all my Burn It Mixes and do some kick ass artwork for them.

2. Finish up a few CDr trades

3. Updates on all three stories (if it kills me)

4. Not kill small children at Chuck E Cheese tomorrow (I'm taking my nephew cos I promised him yonks ago and his mom won't go near the place)

5. See Pirates of the Carribean

6. Walk at least 5 miles over the weekend if not more. (the butt is expanding way too much)

I think that is all for now...I know I'll accomplish at least one or two of these things.

The Make Out Mix for the Summer Burn It

Well I've been working on getting the tracks together for the CD Swap over at Kymberlie's blog. I have about 12 tracks so far. Just need a few more. Special thanks to Linds for giving me a few suggestions...cos I'd completely forgotten U2. That's quite terrible of me, since I adore Bono. As I look at it, it's very dark in nature..perhaps it's an erotic make out mix!

Moody Blues - Deep
Oingo Boingo - Skin
Elvis Costello - I Want You
Peter Murphy - The Sweetest Drop
Siouxsie and the Banshees - Melt
David Bowie - As the World Falls Down
The Damned - Eloise
The Cure - Lovesong
Duran Duran - Love Voodoo
Nick Lowe - Freezing
Depeche Mode - I Want You Now
Sarah Brightman - Once In a Lifetime
U2 - Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me
Sophie B Hawkins - The Ballad of Sleeping Beauty
The Devlins - Surrender

I think I only need maybe 3 more songs. Any suggestions are welcome..and anyone that wants a copy of the final mix only has to email me.

The only thing I want to accomplish this weekend: Man Out of Time

Well kidlets, I've managed to pull the story out of the disc that I had it saved on, and put in my network. I'm doing some revisions, but I really hope to have some new bits this weekend. I might not change as much as I originally thought..but there are a few things that really need working out. I want to add some about Robert and possibly Jodi...That way you don't unnecessarily hate Robert...who has a reason for being obnoxious..I'm going to clarify that.

So look to see an added chapter...and maybe some brand new 'new' bits this weekend.

I'm also going to try to work on the 2 Justin stories, when time permits this weekend. It's not easy when the computer I like to work on won't let me update, for lack of a net connection. As you can see, my last idea as to how to make the HP go DSL again, didn't work.

I don't understand why the computers on the router still get their connection, but the computer with the main hookup/modem etc doesn't. Any techies out there, PLEASE HELP!

Sarah Brightman - Once In a Lifetime
Depeche Mode - I Want You Now
The Zombies - Time of the Season
Madonna - Justify My Love
Dusty Springfield - Son of a Preacher Man
Agnetha - Wrap Your Arms Around Me
Justin Hayward - Silverbird
Roxy Music - More Than This
Prince - Diamonds and Pearls (hell almost every song by Prince or the artist or whatever the fuck he's calling himself)
Arcadia - the Promise
Sting - Desert Rose
Paul Young - Right About Now
Nick Lowe - Let's Stay in and Make Love

I can probably think of a few more...goodness knows there are many NIN's Closer...is definitely one..and Peter Murphy's The Sweetest Drop. The list could go on forever.

Can you tell music is the one thing that keeps me going. Right now as you may have guessed, my two obsessions are The Moody Blues/Justin Hayward and Nick Lowe. I've had to put of the Joe Jackson obsession for a bit...though I love his music...I may have to settle for a greatest hits compilation to tide me over until I can start collecting his cds.

Why wait? Because there are about 5 cds coming out in Sept. (Elvis Costello's North..plus 3 reissues. and David Bowie's new album as well) Also sometime this fall a new Moody Blues CD!!! Wootness! Hopefully a fall tour that stops in Pittsburgh! Ok..yes I'm dreaming..but a girl's got a right to dream!

I have a new favorite show

Have any of you seen Coupling, from BBC yet? This is the most fantastic funny show I've ever watched. Yes, it's full of lude humor! Yes, there are sexy British boys! Yes, it's set in a pub most of the time! What more could I ask for in a show!

The premise is much the same as friends, but the characters are much more amusing..and not so stuck up!

Richard Coyle who plays Jeff...if my favorite character so far.

Here's a Jeff quote from the series..and in fact a quote from the epi that was on last night: "I need breasts with brains. I don't mean individual brains, obviously... I mean, not a brain each. You know, I like intelligent women, but you've got to draw the line somewhere... I think breast brains would be over-egging the woman pudding."

Oh and here's Richard

It can't get much worse

Well it can, and it's trying to. I have the network on my main computer but no connection. I'm trying to convert the stories to wordpad documents, but it's so damn hot I can barely move. I hope I can get something in the lines of a story posted. It likely won't be Man Out of Time, and that really upsets me. I wanted to work on that one badly this weekend. Now all I've done is sat around and done next to nothing.

Of my accomplishments...I will have finished the trades I had to burn..by Monday. I also finished reading that one blasted book. As for the mix cds. PAH! All my mp3s are on cdrs as data..and I'm not putting them back until I know the damn computer is working properly. So making mixes is going to be a long process now. Can I please cry?

Oh..wait..I did do a few things on the list.

1. I won an auction for the Time Traveller Box set! A brand newish copy too! and I'm hoping to get the Red Rocks Deluxe edition on Half.com later today!

2. I've been working on cleaning and I've rid my house of 2 bags of old clothes. I'm still not quite through..but I'm sure with the computer issues I've been having, it will be.

3. Walked about 5 miles at the walking path yesterday! Might go again shortly if I have no luck with the other computer.

So wootness I did something, just not what I wanted to do.

Allow me to scream

Yes, the computer is fine, well kind of. The router for my DSL for some reason has decided that it doesn't like the HP any longer. So here I sit on the old tried and true Emachine. There are a few problems with this though...allow me to list them for you before you go apeshit that I haven't posted any stories.

1. My Microsoft Works Word Processor on the emachine doesn't recognize the newer versions of works. So all the files I have I can work on from that computer...but I can do nothing with them. Can't even email them to myself. Cos I don't have a connection in that room.

2. I've taken all my photos and mp3s off the hard drive and will have to spend a day or more bringing what I need back.

3. It would have been nicer if my computer would have just told me it wanted to go for a ride. 400 miles to learn that nothing is wrong with it really sucks. (My brother is a computer GOD which is why I made the trip)

So please have pity on me. If not for that, because I had to make the jaunt with my sister and in her car, where I was forced to listen to the Scorpions all damn day! ( I had my head phones but she blasted the music so loud she drowned out Justin and Elvis)

Away Message

Just posting here, to let you know that my blasted evil computer from hell is doing wonky things. I forgot the discs that had both stories on them so God willing, when I get back to PA tonight, I'll update. I would've posted more of the Sequel over at the Live Journal but my Works on the Emachine is different from the Works program on the Hewlett Packard.

I'm so disgusted too. When I brought the computer to my brother's house for him to look at, it loaded up perfect. There was no waiting, and no freezing. I think I might have to upgrade to XP and get a new burner for the piece of junk.

Wish me luck. We'll be heading home soon so let's hope that the blasted thing works when we get there.

What I hope to accomplish

This is not a too do list. Nope, no way, uh uh...It's just a list of things I'd really like to do in the next 3 days off. It's rather lengthy.

~Finish reading that blasted book that's been on the 'reading' section of the blog. God, I've been reading that for at least 2 weeks. I swear it's too hot to read. I have an aunt that just gave us another bag of books...ARGH!! must move onto something new to read.

~Pray to the computer gods that my cd burner is not trying to die on the Hewlett Packard. This being the computer were all my music is stored and all. That could bring me great grief.

~If said burner is not dead I have about 12 cds that I need to burn and would be happy to use this computer. If not the emachine will be getting some lovin' this weekend. God I don't want to have to buy a new cd burner. I have no cash!

~I will work on Man Out of Time (as soon as the cds are burned) If I get the cds burned. I have the story on a cdrw so I can't burn without the disc...well I can..but I can't save unless the disc is in the drive...It's all too complicated for me at this point.

~I will walk another 3 miles or more on Saturday. I'm enjoying the walking path in Monessen. I'm really hoping to rid myself of some excess fat. Ok, alot of excess fat, keep your fingers crossed for me.

~Clean. This word has been on the agenda for how many weeks now. I do some cleaning, but not nearly enough. Can you tell I hate cleaning with a passion.

~ Update the Justin Hayward fanfics here and at the Livejournal.

~Buy the remaining Moody Blues CDs that I need. (the major ones rather..the Red Rocks double disc set..and fingers crossed...Time Traveller)

It's my birthday

To blog or not to blog that is the question. Ok..well it's obvious that I am, at least for a few minutes. If I get a chance I will update Love Eternal tonight. Who knows..I might get to the other story as well at work.

Anyhow..it's not starting out good for me...My cd burner was doing goofy shit last night...I couldn't find a damn thing to wear this morning...

And I want to make myself a b-day mix...I guess it's not happening .... Allow me to cry for awhile.

Oh and the Moody Blues are in Detroit tonight....which is the closest they are coming to Pittsburgh on this tour. WAH!

Ramblings for the Day

~I lost the auction for the Moody Blues Time Traveller Box Set. The box set that has the bonus 5th disc of live tracks. I lost it today for a buck...Some dweeb now has the coveted box set for 26 bucks. I hate him. A pox on him. I hope someone pees in his Wheaties. No, I'm not bitter..I'm fucking pissed.

~Check yesterday's story post for edits. I wasn't fond of the journal entry portion, and I want to rewrite that until I get it right. Something about the flow of the story in that part doesn't sit well with me. No major changes, just little bits of how Justin is telling his story.

~I'm making myself a B-day mix, cos everyone else got one on their b-days. I'm filling it with all my favorite concubines, and speaking of mix cds. I've got tons of Make Out songs for Kymberlie's mix cd swap; the question is which ones to use. How to you chose between Oingo's Elevator Man and Skin? I will say this, The Moody Blues: Deep is the opening track.

~My boss' ...erm..girlfriend came in the office and started a screaming match with the boss on the phone. Got all in my face, like he tells me about his life. My boss needs to stop cheating on his wife, or his divorce needs to go through..and soon.

~I'm thinking of putting my Man Out of Time on my floppy disc to work on at work. It might be easier to work on that there and the Justin Hayward Fanfics at home. I'm not sure.
