I'm Plagued By Dreams

Any time I have a dream I can remember one of my parents were in it in some way or another. Last night I dreamed that my nephew, Michael, found a photo collage of mommy and I, meeting Michael Crawford. You know, the hunky guy that played Phantom?

Needless to say, that wasn't a real thing, but I could see those photos in my head, like they really existed. I could see mommy and I standing with Michael. Again, it never happened, but I think there was a time when we both wished it would have.

At least part of me knows why my head is coming up with these things. Yesterday I was desperate to listen to music, but as I went to Youtube to find something, because I don't keep much music on my computer anymore, all I could find were videos of artists mommy and I listened to on Pandora and I ❤ Radio in her last year.  I just can't listen to that anymore, as much as I love it. It makes me cry, and I am so sick of crying. I do it most every day for some reason or another relating back to mommy.

I miss her so very much.

When Rock Stars and Politicians Collide

I had a nightmare last night.

It was one of those dreams that stays in your mind but not completely. I know what people were in it, but I can't really tell you a whole lot about what was going on or why.

Nick Rhodes from Duran Duran was in the dream and John Boehner.

Yeah, this is nightmarish stuff.

Not Nick Rhodes, I'd welcome him in my dreams anytime, but John Boehner. That is someone that I never want to appear in my dreams/nightmares ever again.

I could accept this kind of dream if I had taken Nyquil or Tylenol PM, but nope, this is something my mind came up with on its own!

Yikes!

I hope I have a better night's sleep tonight

Dreams

I had a freaky dream last night, and I wasn't even under the influence of Nyquil. It was one of those dreams where I'm trying to get away from something, but I don't know what it is.

At some point I was in our garage and it was totally dark. I walked back to the house, bumping into the rose bushes. I even got a branch stuck in my bracelet or watch.

When I got back into the house I suddenly toppled over. I tried to scream but I had no voice. That's when I woke up.

I hate these kinds of dreams.

I used to have the "wanting to scream" dreams quite often when I was younger, but I haven't had one in a long while.

I wonder what brought this dream about.

Weird Dreams

I wasn't even under the influence of Nyquil last night and I was having wacky dreams. I was in a hotel for some function and I was flirting mercilessly with Michael Crawford. Yeah, Michael Crawford, of The Phantom Of The Opera.

I have no idea where that dream came from, but it does get weirder.

The hotel where we were staying or at for the function was full of snakes and the elevators weren't working properly.

Oh and my grandmother was at the church function and I was complaining about the cake, because I wanted to eat it but I need to lose weight and it was tempting me terribly.

Yeah. It was one of the goofiest dreams I've had in ages. I have no idea where it came from but it was certainly entertaining in parts.

I don't care how old Michael Crawford is, he's a damn handsome man.

Weird Dreams Strike Again

Let me tell you I had to be tired last night. I was dreaming about great big holes in my back yard and David Tennant in a grocery store.

Yup, that is one weird dream.

I think it even goes beyond weird.

I haven't had a dream I remembered so vividly in such a long time. The David Tennant part was nice but its the whole in the yard part that really made me go OMG weird when I woke up.

See this hole seemed to lead into a strange room that was part of my gram's house, only it wasn't. There was a chair there and loads of books and stuff piled up and nothing was really my gram's.

How strange is that?

The worst part was I was trying to keep the cats away from the whole. Even stranger as MY CATS DON'T LEAVE THE HOUSE!

~shakes head~

This is what I get for staying up late the past few nights. Last night I was so tired my poor little brain took over, and its pretty obvious my brain is very confused!!!

Dreaming Of New Jersey

Not all of Jersey, mind you, just Atlantic City, that gambling mecca that I love so much. You know that place I haven't been too in about 2.5 years.

~sniffle~

I was dreaming that I was trying to go there just for the day, last night. I think it came from talking to my friend Mary, who is working in Trenton right now.

~sigh~

Not that I want to be in New Jersey with the snow storm that's coming up the coast. Nosirree, I don't. I've had my fill of the stupid white stuff and everyone else can have this storm. I pass on this one.

At least I have my dreams though, because with the economy the way it is, I fear my vacation time may be used to go places close to home that cost little to no money other than gas or possibly a rental car.

Ah well, any vacation is better than no vacation, right? And when its about 15 degrees outside, its always nice to dream of what you may do in the summer.

Nightmares

OK, this is starting to be a Saturday night thing with bad sleep and I'm not liking it one iota. I was sleeping good too, all curled up and warm with all 3 kittens at the small of my back.

So what happens?

Nightmare!

Yeah I dreamed mom and I were arguing about a frozen pizza that we had made. My nephew had come into the kitchen and someone had walked on our porch so he locked the door.

The next thing I know I see a light on in grandma's house in her bedroom and I'm trying to call 911 only I have no voice.

That's when I woke up.

Thank god.

I didn't want to have a sleep panic attack.

So it's 6 a.m. and I'm sitting here blogging because I don't want to go back to sleep.

ARGH!

Weird Dreams & Why I Like Phil Collins

I lost Pickle again on my clock radio so I wake up to 99.7 WSHH. This morning Genesis came blaring down the waves at me. It was Throwing It All Away from the Invisible Touch CD, which is one of my favorite albums.

I totally didn't wake up properly when it came on because I drifted into a dream where I was singing that song at someone. Never mind who I was singing it at, but I was singing it. God I hope I wasn't singing in my sleep! That could be frightening, especially as I'm not much of a songbird when I'm awake.

I full admit to loving the cheesy song stylings of Phil Collins, I always have. His voice just appeals to me. Maybe I was adult contemporary even as a kid, because I remember buying the But Seriously CD when it first came out and I saw him in concert on that particular tour as well.

This is the first time a song ever took hold in my wandering sleep filled brain. I suppose it could be worse, it could have been In The Air Tonight that was playing. That song has such a creepy vibe I would have had a 5 minute nightmare.

The problem is this damn song is stuck in my head now and probably won't go away for the rest of the day as a result, because I'm so focused on the dream.

ARGH!

What a way to kick start the work week! I think I want to be throwing it all away.

Get Out Of My Head!

I had the most bizarre dream about someone I hadn't really given a huge amount of thought to in awhile.

Yeah. I was dreaming about Fishy.

ARGH!

Head desk/Head wall/Face palm

Sure I still listen to 99.3 The Pickle. Sure I still call in my requests on the Free For All, but no, I don't email him much, unless I have something to say, and that's few and far between.

But for some reason I was at the station and I was trying to avoid him seeing me, even though he was at a desk right next to where I was standing. He was all spiffy looking too. My brain must have been on overdrive. Some teasing followed. Nothing naughty, just me talking to him.

Weird.

Much like my whole association with this guy has been. In many ways I'm glad nothing came from this. No good ever comes from me liking anyone of the opposite sex.

No more dreams. They just make me wake up feeling rather shitty.

The Return Of The Weird Dream

I've been remembering my dreams a lot lately, more so then ever. I don't know if its because I'm sleeping differently or what, but yikes! Lots of dreams and all of them weird.

Yesterday I dreamed that I was at a casino and I won $300. (If only. If only) I don't know who I was with, but it was pouring down rain. I think I was in Atlantic City, because I think I mentioned either the Tropicana or the Taj both of which are on the boardwalk.

The day before that I had a dream about that Pickle DJ, you know the one that I used to post about all the time. Yeah. Fishy or He-who-should-be-flushed-down-the-toilet. He was playing The Moody Blues on the air and he screwed up something about the song or the band, I can't remember which. I do know that he had played Question. I got really mad at him for that too. The rest of the dream doesn't matter, m'kay? The world doesn't need to know that my subconscious mind is still gagging for a shag, so to speak.

Last night I was driving around in a storm doing something for my boss, only my boss wasn't my boss.

Weird. I don't know where my brain is coming up with these ideas. I would prefer they come up with a story I could write down or that I could concentrate on Einstein for more than 20 pages a day. (God that book hurts me)

I just want one day of blissful sleep, without something that makes me ponder what goes on in my head the whole next day.

Oh and I think I'm coming down with a cold too. Yay. Do you know what that means? Nyquil. And we all know that Nyquil = WEIRD DREAMS!

OMG DAVY

Last night's dream was much better, though I'm not sure where Davy Jones came from, but boy I'm glad he showed up.

So as a result I went to his official site, and lo and behold I discovered that picture you see in the corner.

~drools~

The 70's sure where kind to Mr. Jones, that's for sure. Oh mylanta and yourlanta and everyoneslanta.

But the picture has a purpose, its the cover of a CD that Davy is selling on his website.

Thanks Davy, I dream about you. I had a nice snogging dream with you, and you have to be a big whore about it and make me pay for it, because you know I want the CD!

And all of this because I was dreaming about Davy Jones and him saying L'le Me'l Bo'l Tops, like he did in the episode Monkees Ala Mode.

And no folks I haven't been taking Nyquil, so I have no idea why I'm being plagued by this wacko dreams

Make The Bad Dreams Go Away

I found this gorgeous picture of the Pickle DJ last night, so I thought I'd have some pleasant dreams about him. Heck if I was going to have nightmares, I thought maybe I'd be dreaming about being chased by a giant parrot, but no, that wasn't the case.

I was dreaming that my Oogie cat was hanging on the windowsill and he fell and died.

Talk about traumatizing dreams.

It's not fair that when I'm finally getting to bed and sleeping a normal amount of time that I'm dreaming wacky nasty stuff.

What is wrong with my brain? Where is my subconscious getting this stuff?

It's obvious that its not the stuff I had on my mind before bed, because that's when I found the Fishy picture. Heck, Oogie didn't even do anything bad yesterday that I would have even given him a swat on the bum, why did my mind put him on the windowsill? My poor kitty.

No. More. Bad. Dreams.

Do. Not. Want.

Weird Dreams

I didn't even take any meds last night and I had the most weird dream that seemed so real that when I woke up I had to double check to see if it was true.

What was I dreaming?

I dreamed a tooth fell out.

Now this is something that would traumatize me. I have some problems with my teeth, but I haven't had any issues in a long time. To be honest, even my wisdom teeth have been calm most of the past year. That's a small miracle. They usually bug me for a week at least once or twice a year.

But again, this dream really freaked me out, because I live in fear that something will happen to my teeth.

I may not go to the doctor's regularly. Hell I refuse to go to any doctor unless I'm near death, but I do go 2 to 3 times to get my teeth cleaned and I get my eyes checked every 2 years.

So you can see how traumatizing this dream was. Now I'm wondering what it means. I think I'd rather have a dream about He-who-should-be-flushed-down-the-toilet-and-out-of-my-mind, at least when I'd wake up I'd know that there was no way in hell that it could be true!

Mmmm Dreams

I think I was in dire need of a hug, because the only part of a dream that I had involved me curling up on someone's lap in my kitchen, of all places.

It was such a nice dream that I really didn't want to wake up from it. In fact, I did everything in my power to go back to sleep. Although with the frosty winter weather we've been having lately, who wants to get up when they can be nestled under the covers fast asleep. Add to that having a dream with the guy you've been crushing on for over a year letting you sleep on his lap.

AH.

I want that dream back, and I want it now.

If not, I want the guy in my dream to show up and sit down on the nearest chair so I can sleep on his lap.

Not to much to ask, right?

I didn't think so.

That doesn't matter though, because it's not going to stop me from having them, as well as wishing I didn't have to wake up from them.

Weird Night

I had one of those horrible nights where sleep wasn't worth it. My dreams were all nightmares and then I'd wake up and the cramps would start. Sorry for sharing that bit, but I felt you should know how miserable I was.

I woke up at 3 a.m. to dreams where things were blowing up and catching fire on every side of me and I was trying to get everyone out of the house before it went up in smoke.

In the next dream I was dreaming I was going down a huge flight of stairs and someone, I swear it was a husband (that I don't have) was trying to push me. Someone with me saved me and in turn killed my pursuer.

What does this all mean?

It was terribly distubing. I didn't want to try to fall asleep after the second nightmare. I've had bad dreams return after waking but I've never had 2 different nightmares in the same night.

Needless to say, I'm not well rested.

Plagued By Dreams

I had the most bizarre dream last night. It's bizarre because I can only remember a small fraction of it. Usually when I remember dreams I wake up and remember the whole thing, like its a small film that my head created, usually to taunt me when I wake up.

I dreamed that I was getting into my car somewhere and for whatever reason I had facial mask on. WTF! This is weirder than those showing up in school without clothes on dreams.

But wait, it gets better.

As I'm getting into my car...I spy someone else getting into their vehicle, someone I wouldn't want to see me with anything on my face, to be perfectly honest. Actually, someone I wouldn't want to see me with a zit or anything else for that matter.

ARGH!

I don't want to have these kinds of weird dreams. I don't know if I even spoke to this person in the dream. I having a feeling I tried to. I'm sure I didn't succeed, because I know that if I were face to face with this person there would be no words. I would just stand there like a dumby and if I managed to say anything it would squeak out and I would look like a bigger fool than I am.

NO MORE DREAMS, DAMN IT!

I can't take them, they mess with my day and they depress me.

The Further Adventures Of The Mistress Of The Dark On Nyquil

Oh yes, besides the old "Open Mouth, Insert Foot" deal that the come down from Nyquil produces

~ Note to self never do what seems like a good idea when Nyquil hasn't worn off.

Nyquil produces "DREAMS"

However not of the "good" variety. I've noticed that my dreams even conspire against me.

I've been in a Nyquil induced coma and a "sick" coma for the last 12 hours off and on...I have to say even a weird dream is better than nothing.

I dreamt I was at a Tommy James concert. That's all well and good, I fell asleep somewhere around my theme song last night, so that makes sense. I was in the first 3 rows dead center. (Something that's only happened to me once) Of course the zoom camera isn't with me and I'm trying to get pictures, only I can't. And I remember wanting to show the pictures to PH.

~ Note to self no more Tommy James before bed.

Oh and here's the silly part, Tommy was opening for The Moody Blues.

Boy was that a dream. I woke up before the Moodies took to the stage however, which just adds to the suckyness of the dream.

I think I need to lay off the Nyquil for awhile and just suffer through my cold.

This has got to stop!

OK, I haven't figured out why I've been remembering my dreams as much lately, but at least I have a clue of why I dreaming the stuff.

Yeah, I had another freaky dream last night.

Sadly, it didn't involve John Lodge or any of my other cuties. It did, however, involve Atlantic City and large sums of money. The large sums of money I just happened to win.

~That my friends would be the clue that this was a dream~

So basically I know most of this dream came from conversations I had yesterday. It's a month until my trip to Atlantic City. My sister and I were talking about going to Wheeling Island again this weekend. I can't explain the winning large sums of money though, because that doesn't happen, ever!

The best part of this dream was that I was trying to figure out what to do with my share of the winnings. It was either pay off debt or buy a new car. A real new car, not one that someone else has already driven for years.

~sigh~

I've never had a real new car. I probably never will.

(Oh and that part of the dream is explainable too. My grandma was asking when I was going to start saving for a car. The answer. When I don't have a zillion other bills to pay aka the twelfth of never)

Still it was nice to have a dream where I was suddenly rolling in cash. It's a shame it's never going to happen.
