Isn't Life Strange

Isn't Life Strange

It's been quite a week. Some good. Some bad. Some downright strange. Is this an excuse to ramble again? Most likely.

~ David Bowie was hospitalized earlier this week and had an emergency angioplasty done. GAH! I don't want to think of the Bowie with heart troubles. I live with that enough at home.

~ I'm still missing Atlantic City. I'm missing the boardwalk and that beautiful view from our hotel room on the 37th floor. I don't know if I mentioned it, but there are cheesy dollar stores all over the boardwalk. Fun shopping! Oh and the clothing stores! Mmmm and the restaurants. Not to mention all the gorgeous casinos. I wonder if I'd be this excited about Vegas?

Quite possibly. Why? Cos pretty lights amuse me. Yeah, I spent more time gawking at slot machines then playing them. Oh and I gawked at a poster of the Moody Blues too, but that's another story.

~ Speaking of my Moody Men, you know there are still songs of theirs that I still don't know very well? I've had my winamp on shuffle for 6 months now and every so often it spits out something that I haven't heard much of. Yesterday my winamp decided to play most of the Blue Jays CD. I realized I had only really listened to two songs from that one, maybe 3.

While I'm on the Moody ramble, with them I can come close to picking a favorite album. Long Distance Voyager. I love that one. There's not a song on it that I don't like. Then coming in close 2nd, Strange Times. Have I mentioned that I think the Core 7 was vastly overrated? OK, it's not really that, it's Mike Pinder, I don't care much for him or his music.

~ I got an email this morning asking me what my ultimate Costello song is. My brain is quite ready to explode on that one. There are songs that I love, but I can't find one that really screams "That's my favorite." So by the end of the day I have to post something about Mr. Costello over at my Art of the Mix blog Edit: My post on EC is made..clicky on the link to read it.

~ I have to stop looking at pictures of Paul McCartney when there is an article on Yahoo, or anywhere else. Oh my god, does he look every one of his 62 years all of a sudden. I don't want to see that. I want to think of him as that beautiful youth that stormed the US in the early 60's. I'd even prefer to think of him as the handsome bloke I watched as I grew up. Age has really hit him since Linda died and he married that tramp...erm..since he married Heather Mills. Maybe it's the baby, it's keeping him awake at night. ARGH! It's bad enough Ringo has hit the When I'm 64 milestone. I don't need my Paulie looking 62.

~ Haven't managed to go walkies this week. At least not since Monday. I did almost 4 miles on Monday and 3 on Sunday. I used to do 5 every other day last year. I'm a fat lazy pig.

~ Oh and I must thank MoodyMistress for the lovely b-day present that I got the other day. She sent me enlargements of her Moody Blues pictures from Poughkeepsie NY. Needless to say they were beautiful. I have to find homes for them. So beautiful. So again I say thank you to her!

The first week of 30 hasn't been too bad. I'm coping better than I thought I would. So now I'll go off and revel in the beauty of this Friday.
