Pieces of You

Pieces of You

This Week's Topic : The World Is A Stage

We have another quote for you this week. This one is taken from a song from the King Of Rock n Roll himself; Elvis Presley

"The world's a stage and each must play a part."

What part do you play in this world?

So many songs seem to be tied into the idea that Mr. Presley was making. The first two that come to mind are both Moody Blues classics, The Actor and then Meanwhile.

It's true that everyone of us is an actor in the play of life. Only the play is an improvisation. There's no script, we make it up as we go along and we determine if it's a drama or a comedy or a tragedy by our own actions and choices.

In the big picture of the cosmic play, we are all really just walk ons, our time so brief that we are all really insignificant. But when you take it on a personal level we are all stars. The play is our lives and it's about us and how we choose to live. That's why every day should be lived to its fullest and enjoyed. The love that you have from friends, lovers and family should be cherished. The sorrow taken to strengthen and make us grow.

All these things build character, your character. And who wants to be a boring character in the play of life?

My character is funloving, full of life and love for music, family and friends. My character dares to dream and writes of her dreams. My character escapes from reality when real life gets her down. My character obsesses over the little things and the big things. My character likes to sit down with a good book.

My character will grow into her part in the play of life. She has changed from a child to a woman and has grown from her experiences. She's been a friend, daughter, sister, aunt, student, employee with many other roles to be determined later that will carry her further down the road of life.

Tune in tomorrow to see how the play continues and how my character develops down life's lonely road.
