1. What was the best album released in 2004?

This wasn't an easy question. I've bought several "new" CDs this year, and all of them great. As much as I love the recently released Elvis Costello disc, the best disc this year is Duran Duran's Astronaut.




2. What was the best single released in 2004?
Again I'm tempted to say Monkey to Man, but it's typical Elvis and the new U2 song Vertigo, makes me crazy, so for me, the best single is Duran Duran's Reach Up For The Sunrise



3. What new (or new to you) artist did you discover this year?
The Dresden Dolls



The song Coin-Operated Boy is the greatest. It makes me smile everytime.

4. What was the best video made this year?

Elvis Costello - Monkey to Man

5. What was the best concert you attended this year?
The Moody Blues - Tropicana Casino June 19, 2004.

Did you think I'd say anything else?

6. What was the musical scandal that amused you most?
Oh I can't decide. Between the talentless Ashlee Simpson's lip syncing incident on SNL and Janet Jackson baring a boob. Really, who could ask for any more amusement?

7. What song or album that you discovered this year would you recommend to us?

Bernie Barlow - Golden.

The album came out last year, but I didn't know about it. The CD is available on her website, and it's probably one of the best CDs I've bought this year. I recommend the Moody Blues backup lady to everyone! Check her out now!
