Random Acts of Posting

I so wanted to have some more story for you, and I very nearly did. I spent the better part of my evening finishing up a lovely mix cd for my friend Squirt at Ocelots. It has a little bit of all my favorites and I think I really need to make a copy for myself. I had to do that with the first cd I made for her as well. It was called the Concubine mix. You can view the tracklists here. At some point I'll put the new mix up at the Art of the Mix site as well.

Oh more random weirdness. Paul McCartney has been asked to tone down his concert when his Back in the World tour reaches Rome. It might disturb the ailing 82 year old Pope. I have this to say to that..What the fuck! Paul McCartney shows are just so damn loud...I mean the noise ....Crikey..Paul, what the hell have you done to offend the Vatican?

No DSL yet..I'm so hating this. I want my faster connection. I want high speed downloads. I want something now that I've waited a month! PAH!

Greg Proops is on Tough Crowd with Colin Quin tonight. Why am I not in the mood to watch it? Greg used to be the one thing that made me giggle. Now I could so not bother. Plus I know the topic is going to be the war, and I so don't want to hear it. I hear enough about the war on the news and everywhere else. I'm at a point where I want to say, take you damn opinion on Iraq and shove it. Cos frankly I've ceased caring. Nothing anyone's ranting can do is going to change a damn thing. Listening to gripes just makes me irritated. I've ceased reading things that I know are primarily focused on the war. Thank you, it's the only way I can destress..

More on the DSL...I can't even use my normal computer. They are still working on our line...in hopes that the service will be up...so definitely no story post tonight. I've got a tasty scene coming up with Alex and Peter. It's going to be a trifle kinky as you might have already imagined from the end of the last post.

Oh and lastly. I've decided to post the link here for another one of my concubines, Mr. Tony Slattery. Is he not just a dishy treat? Enjoy! I'll be adding that link to the concubines area of the page shortly. Until then, click and drool.

Friday Five

Yup it's that time of week again. It's Friday Five time! So without further adieu...

1. What was your most memorable moment from the last week?
Ah, of course it would be telling the people at PRC to go to hades...when I was hired at my new job. There's nothing more memorable than being able to leave a place that makes you miserable.

2. What one person touched your life this week?
Hmmm touched my life? I don't think anything has happened to me..that I could say ..that they touched my life. It's been rather ordinary, aside from the new job.

3. How have you helped someone this week?
I've actually been helping alot of the new hires this week at work. It's rather rewarding to see them learn new things. It also helps that there is more of an opportunity to do this now. When I started I had very little help. I might not have grown so frustrated if that had happened.

4. What one thing do you need to get done by this time next week?
Well...I would say that by this time next week I'd like to be fully acclimated to my new job!

5. What one thing will you do over the next seven days to make your world a better place?
I'll have stopped complaining about the job that I hate and will make everyone that knows me happier..thus increasing the happiness of the world!

I like both actually. There's beauty in all art.

Exuberant musical most definitely. Can't beat the fun of Cats and then there's Chicago, Evita, Phantom...dare I go on..

10. Thought-provoking question of the week: You are a contributing member of your favorite art museum, and visit on a regular basis. They announce a new, temporary special exhibit by an artist surrounded by controversy...this person's work and/or political views offend you. Do you stop supporting the museum, or just stay away during the time the exhibit is there?

I'd probably stay away during the time of the exhibit...no..I'm masochistic..I'd still go and make myself angry...It would give me something to vent about anywayl....

Friday Five

I'm posting early today, cos I'm off to a concert tonight. So you won't see much more from me til tomorrow. So onto the Friday Five

1. If you had the chance to meet someone you've never met, from the past or present, who would it be? Oh goddammit, I've met Elvis Costello. Damn damn damn. I don't suppose another chance and this time having a long conversation that ends in passionate sex would count? No? Screw you! LOL ...Ok...then I'll take my darling pain in the ass, Greg Proops. For the same reasons as Mr. Costello, only I'd probably argue with him...then move onto the passionate sex...(and since this is a fantasy..I'll pretend the JenCat doesn't exist)

2. If you had to live in a different century, past or future, which would it be?
1800's ...cos I want to wear the pretty dresses and go to balls. Oh might as well stipulate that I want to be rich in that century. If I'm not, not worth it.

3. If you had to move anywhere else on Earth, where would it be?
Oh the UK. Cos well that's where my favorite concubine is.

4. If you had to be a fictional character, who would it be?
Christine Daae from Phantom of the Opera. My reasoning could go on forever, but if I were Christine..the story might have ended differently.

5. If you had to live with having someone else's face as your own for the rest of your life, whose would it be?
Well that's a good one. Hmmmm Diana Krall...Uh..no...well maybe....How about this..I want to look like someone Elvis Costello would want to shag senseless.

Ah now that was a fucking fun friday five...all fantasy...

Survey Theivery is Fun

I've stolen another lovely survey from the blog of One By One. So here's a little bit of mindlessness before I go to work on the story. I hope to have some more of Peter's part of the story for you soon.

Do you like having your picture taken?
Not Really. I very seldom take a good picture. You have only to see the pictures of me with the guys from Whose Line and Elvis Costello, to know that I'm one ugly goober. So needless to say I hide from cameras.

If you could go anywhere in the world where would you go and why?
I'll take the cue from One by One's answer. To bed with Elvis Costello. I would hope he'd be somewhere nice, like London or Dublin. To the why part, cos Elvis is a sexy sonfabitch and I would love to travel to the UK someday.

Have you ever done crossword puzzles?
I've done crosswords..but I've never finished one. I prefer word searches myself.

Pick up the closest book and write a sentence at random from it:
"When she wasn't celebrity hunting she augmented her meager income by taking fuzzy focus pictures of romantic scences for Touch Me Softly greeting cards." Fantasies by Beverly Sassoon.

Do the same with a lyric from either a cd or the radio:
"In all the world there's one true love and finding it's hard enough." Elvis Costello, "Sweet Pear"
Have you ever tried to analyze your own dreams?
No, my dreams are way to goofey to even try to decipher. Though it's really creepy when some of them happen. Usually they are about other people ...and don't affect my life any.

Can you sing?
No...but I wish I could.

Do you ever sing to yourself while doing everyday tasks?
Don't we all? It can be downright embarassing at times.

Have you ever lied to get off the phone or out of talking to someone online?
I'll just let you guess the answer to that one.

Is your VCR flashing 12:00 all the time?
No but a few of my stereos are flashing the correct time..cos I'm to lazy to stop it.

Do you read your horoscope?
Yeah I need my daily laugh

How many times a year about are you sick?
At the most one time a year...I don't get sick much...

What radio station do you listen to most?
You couldn't pay me to listen to the radio

Yes, my gram taught me how to play. Rather amusing little game.

Elvis Costello brings me immense joy....

No, never thought about it once

The Beatles Help!

Name one of your passions in life.
Music

What's your least favorite time of day?

Have you ever said 'lol' in real life without thinking about it?
No, but now that I've read this, I'll probably do it. ARGH!

What is the best present you've ever given someone else?
Gave my sister her ticket to the Improv All Stars

What is the best present someone else has ever given to you?
My trip to see Phantom in Toronto my senior year of high school.

Do you wear a watch?
Of course, I'd be lost without it.

Write one sentence stating what you want people to say about you after you've passed on.
"She was the only wife that Elvis Costello didn't cheat on"

Describe the ideal superpower and what you would do if you had it.
I've never really thought about that, cos well I've never really paid alot of attention to superheroes. Though I think shapeshifting could be downright amusing, and damn torturous. It's for the torturous nature, that I'd enjoy it the most.

Name something you've done in the last 24 hours no matter how big or small.
I went to work and solved issues. Totally fucking fun! (PAH!)

Do you wear necklaces, bracelets, anklets, earrings, rings?
Earrings, rings yes...Necklaces and bracelets on occasion. I love jewelry, but it's hard to wear pretty earrings when you have a headset on all day. Yuck.

What's on your computer desk?
Coke bear figure and stuffed animal. some butterfly hairclips. CDRs ...Compressed air...WalMart receipt...my glasses..oh and a cat.

When you're talking do you ever use your hands to do quotation marks in the air when saying certain words?
No

Do you think you're pretty?
No..just reread the answer to question one..I have issues.

What's in your fridge right now?
Oh an easy question! FOOD..and some nuclear waste that should have been thrown out last year! LOL!

What is the strangest thing you've ever done?
I'll never tell..

What is the worst thing anyone could ever do to you?
that's an open invitation for pain..so no you don't need to know the answer to that.

Are you a fast typer?
I would say so

Describe how you sleep.
For the most part pretty deeply, when I'm out..you have to shake me awake.

Have you ever read a book and not understood it? If so which one?
The first time I read Les Miserables, I was so like, "What the fuck is this about" Never read a book in double column form. It's maddening.

Do people pick up your slang language more than you pick up theirs?
I don't think so, I'm pretty balanced with that kind of crap.

Have you ever bought anything just because it was a fad?
Of course, but I won't tell you which ones, cos it's too embarassing now. Let's just say I'm a child of the 80's.

What would you like to do with your life?
Be able to have a job that doesn't annoy the hell out of me. Oh and to make Elvis Costello the happiest man on the planet. (damn I know a reality slap is coming)

Do you bite your nails?
No, I'm prettily manicured though not polished.

Are people's perceptions of you usually correct?
Probably not, cos most people don't really know me.

When they start sending rockets to the moon for us civilians, will you be on the list to go?
Hey, I'm still waiting to be abducted by the aliens, so why not rocketing to the moon!

Have you ever written anything on your skin?
Erm...I'll never tell... X = F

What color are most of your clothes?
Black.

Are things as bad as they seem?
Actually they are much much worse.

Yes, that way you can scare the hell out of em when you give em a goonie look.

Man Out of Time

I'm nearly done with the editing of Man Out of Time. I'm down to the last 10 pages now. So if you want to read the changes to the story go my other blog. I hope to have some new installments later this week. It's definitely taken much longer than I had originally planned to get through this.

I'll admit to being very lazy when it came to doing this, but all in all I hope you enjoy the changes.
Another Survey Stolen from Linds

I stole this one from Linds' LiveJournal. It's 70 degrees outside and I'm sitting on the computer. Someone pass the Zoloft, cos I think I need it. I'm listening to Elvis Costello to calm my frazzled nerves. I wonder if he'd mind if I curled up on his lap and fell asleep. I'll apologize later for not being as pretty as Diana Krall or as talented or any of that useful stuff...

A day of Randomness

~ My DSL line isn't going to be ready until Wednesday now! I want my DSL now. A few weeks ago, I didn't really care whether I stayed dial up forever or not, but now that everything is here and ready to get hooked up, I'm antsy. Soon I'll be able to use all the computers in my house at one time. I'm really anxious for the networking, because I want to be able to use the emachine and the HP at the same time.

~I want a new template for my blog, but I don't want to lose my pictures here. I hate it when I get bored. When I get bored, I change things. Someone stop me before I have a new template.I like this one but there is no chatter box or room for one it seems. Oh here's another one

~Martin Gore has recorded a version of "Lost in the Stars" that Kurt Weill song that Mr. Costello did a while back. I never ever thought I'd say this but I like Martin's version better. That's a floggable offense I'm sure. Martin has a very pretty voice though, and this song is really suited to his range and whatnot.

~I so need to clean in my house, but I'm so not in the mood. I hate that. I have no motivation for the things that need to be done.

~I'm sick of being depressed. I just want to be able to talk to someone who will at least try to understand what I have to live with. I envy people that have 'normal' siblings that they can share things with. My siblings are either too old to care or too fucked up to even bother with.

~Oh found another Costello mp3 I didn't know I had! I have the song Weird Nightmare track from the Mingus tribute. My god is this song dark and brooding and absolutely fucking fantastic. I can say no more...it's to wonderful for words. I may have to update my Lullaby CD again.

~The Rock N Roll Hall of Fame is on tonight! I can't wait to see EC in that dishy suit of his. Hopefully there won't be too many shots of people that I don't want to look at. I'm not really in the mood for significant or insignificant others at this point.

Finally a Survey to Klepto

I can always count on Linds to have a survey worth stealing. I don't know where to look for em, so I have to get mine second hand. Ah well. It's either survey kleptoing or me posting more pictures of Mr. Elvis (I'm one sexy sonfabitch) Costello... So be happy if I were you.

FAITH
1. What religion do you follow? Catholicism as much as I can
2. What religion were you raised as? Catholic
3. Do you believe that forgiveness is a religious property, or a human property? It goes both ways depending on what's being forgiven I suppose.

6. Have you ever said the words to a prayer and not meant it? Real prayers aren't recited.
7. Do you believe that anyone could be perfect? No, but then I think religiously and Jesus would probably the only example of a perfect person. Everyone has faults, but it also depends on how you interpret perfect. You have people like Mother Theresa and I'm sure I could come up with a few others, that lived good and blameless lives, so how can I say they aren't perfect or near perfect.

2. Regarding your future, what is the best thing you could hope for? A full and satifsfying life with someone to love.

5. Do you give money to the homeless on the street? No.
6. Have you ever helped out a friend with basic needs, like rent or food? No, never had to.
7. What's the greatest extent you've gone to help a friend in need? I've rushed to a friends house a few times when things were rough when a relationship had gone bad.

FORTITUDE
1. What are you most afraid of? Life
2. What did you do today that was really brave? I went to work...trust me that's brave

5. If you were to face the Wizard, would you want more courage, more brains, or more heart? More courage.
6. Have you ever gotten stage fright? I've never been on stage
7. Do you consider yourself to be a leader or a follower? Follower definitely...

JUSTICE
1. Have you ever been summoned for jury duty? Were you chosen? No to both
2. If they reinstituted the draft (for both genders), would you go, or would find some way out of it? I'm off to Canada, see you later.
3. Do you support capital punishment (the death penalty)? Yes in some instances, what good does life in prison serve other than to keep our tax dollars up. Especially if the individual will never be fit for society.
4. Which should be guaranteed legal: (Please make this question more clear!) Prostitution...LOL
5. Do you believe that Dubya is rightfully President of the USA? No way...that was a dictatorship that was bought for him by his brother and his daddy.
6. What was your favorite media circus trial? Does the Clinton Scandal count..that was fun

6. Tell us one thing you wish you hadn't let yourself do: Take the job with Expanets
7. Do you feel that you obsess over things? Yes. I definitely obsess over the bad things in my life that worry me. It's hard to put aside something that can cause you impending doom

PRUDENCE
1. Who is the wisest person you know? My mother
2. Have you ever participated in a vigil? No
3. Do you take advice when it's given? Sometimes
4. What area are you wisest in? Ask me about music...

7. What did you learn today? Mandatory overtime sucks.
8. And of course, what is your favorite heavenly virtue? Hope springs eternal

A meager 5

Ah yes..it's the Friday Five

1. Do you like talking on the phone? Why or why not? I like talking on the phone to friends. I work on the phone 8 hours a day. So unless you've got something really amusing to say, I'm likely not to want to hear about it down the line. You can only listen to so much bitching before you go stark raving mad.

2. Who is the last person you talked to on the phone? My mother

3. About how many telephones do you have at home? 4 regular phones and my cellular

4. Have you encountered anyone who has really bad phone manners? What happened? I'm not sure if it's bad phone manners, but I have a freind who's grandma just ends a call by hanging up not saying good bye or anything. Not bad phone manners, just eccentric ones I think.

5. Would you rather pick up the phone and call someone or write them an e-mail or a letter? Why or why not? Email, cos then they can't keep you on with idle chit chat...sometimes you just need to get it over with..and email is so much easier in most cases.

Elvis, Story progression...and other random stuff

Ok first let me go on for a bit on how fantastic Mr. Elvis Costello was on Letterman last night! Not only was he divinely handsome, but he was funny and all around entertaining. His monologue gave me many excuses to giggle and mutter "you're so bad" to the telly. The one thing about him that I find endearing is how he says "ehm" when he's thinking of what to say next. It just sounds so damn sexy. I could go on about how sexy he is, but you all know that by now.

I did manage to nab some nice pictures from the Hall of Fame at the VH-1 site. I plan on moving one of them into the concubine section of the page soon. Change is always good, right?

Oh and speaking of changes, I'm nearly finished with the edits to Man Out of Time. So you'll be seeing new bits to this story here soon. Anyone who wants to read it over with the changes can give me a holler and I'll email it. I don't think I've made any drastic changes to the story. I basically cleaned up some parts that I felt were too vague. I was also trying to make Everett a bit more likable. I hope I succeeded. I'm still finding him less than amusing.

Oh, and I'm suffering from a lack of stupid surveys! C'mon people surely someone out there has a fun survey that I can steal. It's been nearly a week since I've klepto'd one. Annoying as they are. They at least give me something to think about.

The DSL modem came today, so likely over the weekend everything will get hooked up and running! I'm looking forward to faster downloads. So much music, so little time. Just think of all the divine mix cds that I'll be able to make once my downloads speed up!

Now for the Awol people in my life. Linds where the hell are you? You are too damn quiet everywhere! Jennifer, are you back in the states yet! Dammit I miss you guys!

Last thing, I might have an interview for a Management Training position for National City Bank. Keep your fingers crossed for me, that it would be something worth taking. I so want to find another job soon.

Greg in NYC

Damn him Damn him Damn him! Straight to hell in a handbasket wrapped in a butaine blanket. From what I gather, he's coming the last week of July to Caroline's in NYC. OK, I'm accepting donations now. Just contribute to the, "it's what Andrea wants most for her birthday" fund.

Yes, my birthday is the beginning of July. ARGH! I so want a Greg for my birthday! I so don't want to get on an airplane. I might as well add, I so don't want to go to NYC! Ah but I would so enjoy the chance to see Greg in his own element of stand up.

The worst part is, my interest in him is not quite where it was a few months ago. Blame Elvis for that. I'd rather see Elvis a few times...

More cons to Greg in NYC...

Bowie is supposed to tour this summer. I want to see David again. WAH!
If Elvis tours and he does that so often even without a record, I want to see him more than Greg..
I might not have any personal time at work to take...and getting to the airport after work could be a freaking bitch.

I guess it's a matter of waiting to see what happens, and where I'm working at the time. It's all so scary, at least to me. Recall that I'm the person who hasn't been outside of Pittsburgh all that often.

An Episode of Elvis

Ok, so Mr. Costello has completely taken over my tiny brain. I can't help it. They played a clip of Hall of Fame on Good Morning America this morning. I've had some drooling time looking at the pictures on Wire Image. I so hope some large versions of these morsels appear online somewhere soon.

If only that bimbo that's attached herself to him would go away. Far away. Very Far Away. Ok not on this planet would be a good place for her. I won't speak her name cos it will depress me. You know, I seriously liked it better when he was married to Cait O' Riordan. I'm not sure why, but it seemed to sit better with my stomach.

I wonder if the "if you ignore it long enough, it will go away" theory would work on her? Probably not. Most likely the Morrissey theory of "The more you ignore me, the closer I get" would hold true.

On a happy note: All the Attractions were there! Yup even Bruce! Yay Bruce! It's a shame Elvis wasn't nasty though, he could have done I Want You..which would have annoyed the fuck out of Bruce Thomas..but I think they steered clear of that song. More is the pity. I know they did Pump it Up, not sure what else they did, I can't wait to watch on Sunday!

Also, this just in..Elvis is the HOST of Letterman on Wednesday...How cool is that? I'm wondering if he's performing too. I hope so. I need all the Elvis I can get in my life.

I'd like to get a new album too, but I think that's too much to ask.

I made a beautiful mix cd

I decided to make a mix of songs that are like lullabies to me. It's posted at my Mix cd group and I think I'll post it at the Art of the Mix site as well. There are some artists that you can do a whole cd of songs that can lull you in to slumberland. Besides the lovely song stylings of Mr. Costello who was my choice for the cd, I can think of a few more that can send me off into a lovely slumber.

Erasure have some lovely melodic songs that can relax you into a nice slumber. I could probably do a whole cd of Duran Duran songs too. Abba springs to mind as well. How could they not? Of course you can always just by the Pure Moods collection, but what fun would that be?

But back to my lullaby mix..The title is "Sing Me to Sleep, Elvis" The tracklisting is :

The Long Journey Home
She
This House is Empty Now
Days
Lost In the Stars
But Not For Me
Shamed Into Love
You Stole My Bell
Please Stay
Still To Soon To Know
Favourite Hour
Couldn't Call It Unexpected #4
Sweet Pear
Lovefield
Pills & Soap
Satellite
My Funny Valentine
Nighttime
Indoor Fireworks

There were so many others I could have added. If I could have, I would have loved to have had Upon A Veil of Midnight Blue and The Birds Will Still Be Singing on here as well. Another Day Another Mix?

I'm going to do a mixed genre version of this cd as well. I can already think of some really pretty tracks to put on that version as well. I'll probably do that tomorrow. Until then...I'll just nap to Elvis.

Every Elvis Has His Army

So much going on that centers on Mr. Costello this week. Ah if only my vcr would be nicer to me. Where to begin. Where to begin.

~ Wednesday night the man is the musical guest on Letterman!

~Friday at noon, vh-1 is finally reairing the Storytellers episode he did. My vcr better be prepared for this, cos this is the only Storyteller's that I've never seen. Something strangely ironic to that, don't you think.

~Sunday night..and almost everynight there after, the induction to the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame. EC will be inducted by Elton John. I'm rather amused by that, myself.

Some thoughts on Elvis for the time being.

Man Out of Time was originally inspired by Mr. Proops, but about 10 pages in the character that was inspired by Elvis took control of the story. I'm trying to do some rewrites so Everett becomes just a bit likeable, but it's not working for me. I still want to smack that character senseless.

Will Bruce Thomas overcome his hatred for my darling Declan to perform at the induction ceremony? It's something that's been plaguing my mind for quite a time now.

Will the Attractions tour! Goddamn it, they need to tour. OK, but that can only happen if Bruce puts aside his nasty feelings. How come I have the feeling that if Bruce is going to play on Sunday night, Elvis is going to play I Want You just to annoy Bruce.

If the Attractions don't tour, Elvis needs to find a reason to tour on his own. I'm having Elvis withdrawals. I need to see the man again. I'd also like a few more reissues of the old cds and maybe a new one.

The people who voted for the grammys have their heads up their asses. When I Was Cruel will be the album of the year in my mind thank you very much, and a big ole raspberry to Mr. Springstein and that damn the Rising cd.

Black suits on Elvis are exceedingly sexy. In fact, they are sexier than any suit Mr. Proops has ever worn.

Building the Perfect Mix

So as you all can see by the new icon on the page, I have a mix cd group. Well I'm working at my lust mix at the present time. The beauty of building mixes or at least coming up with setlists for mixes is that I sort out all my cds and actually listen to a few that probably haven't had a spin in the cd player in years and years.

Today I've pulled out the Cheap Trick cds, and those haven't got any love in a way long time. I think I'll devote a few minutes to the beauty that is Cheap Trick and my love for Robin Zander. I like a million others fell in love with the song The Flame way back when. As usual, I had to acquire everything they ever recorded and I was pleased that I enjoyed most everything they did. Cheap Trick are a fun band with some really great catchy songs. I'm also probably one of the few people that own a copy of Robin's solo cd. It's a shame that cd didn't do better, there were some lovely songs on that one.

I've also been reintroducing myself to Adam Ant. More fun music, which I'm sadly in need of right now. I chose the song Strip for obvious reasons. Ok maybe not. I picked this song so I could look at the picture inside the cover while I was ripping the track to my hard drive. I wish this picture were lurking somewhere online but alas it is not.

Oddly enough, I've also renewed my interest in INXS. They are a band I've had fleeting interest in over the past few years.

So needless to say, I'm having fun trying to make the perfect lustful mix cd. I may be at this one for awhile.

The Sexiest Song

Oh and while I'm rambling, I just have to say that Elvis Costello's song "Inch By Inch" is the sexy song of the day. This is another one that just well inspires nasty evil thoughts when I hear it. So for your reading pleasure I will now give you the lyrics to this lovely gem.

Inch By Inch
You can take a powder
You can take a drink
You can keep the shrink
And the kitchen sink
Write my name in heaven
in invisible ink
I just woke up from dreaming, I think
You can take me over
You can give me a lip
You can take me under
You can give me the slip
Take off everything or tear me off a strip
Like a lady in the chamber
and another in the clip

Chorus
Don't move a muscle baby
Don't even flinch
You can miss me by a mile
Or just inch by inch
Inch by inch
Inch by inch
Inch by inch
You can pull me up again
Inch by inch
Inch by inch
As pulses race
I long to see that look upon your face

You can take me outside
You can take me apart
You can take me upstairs
you can take me to heart
You made me love you when
you thought you were so smart
Don't try to stop me when
you told me to start
Chorus

Sorry, but this song makes me want to hop on the man's lap and kiss him senseless and then do a few other things to him. Ah yes I'm in one of those moods now.

Sexy is as Sexy does

Ok to continue on with the "sexy" theme of yesterday... Linds' brought up a good point. How many people do you think are sexy based on looks alone? Ok, I've had to give this some thought. There are some people that struck me just as soon as I saw them that they were sexy as hell.

Simon LeBon - Ok, the picture on the side of this page can attest to his beauty. It's all in his eyes. Come hither baby blues, has Mr. LeBon. He's such a dishy thing, I can almost put aside his arrogance. I said almost, but then again, I look at him and well...YUM! Simon falls under the 'strip him down and tape his mouth shut' category. He's gorgeous as long as I don't have to listen to him.

Johnny Depp - I don't know much about him, which is just fine by me. I've adored him since I saw Edward Scissorhands. Plus there was all the sweetness of Benny and Joon. He's got that lanky sexy going on. He's just so darn chisled. If I hear that there is a movie with Johnny in it, I'm there, just to get the opportunity to drool on his loveliness. This is not to say he's a bad actor, cos I've enjoyed every film I've ever seen with him in it. I highly recommend Sleepy Hollow and Chocolat if you need to spend a few quality hours drooling in front of the telly.

David Bowie - I have to say as soon as I laid eyes on the man I was hooked. Songwriting talent and vocal talent aside, David Bowie is just gorgeous. He's one of the few celebrities that when I learn weird facts about him, I don't get bothered. Who cares what he does with his personal life, he's David Bowie and he's just darn gorgeous.

Paul McCartney - Dead Sexy. I can say no more. At 60 he's still one beautiful man. Words cannot express his sexiness

I can probably think of a few more, but for now these are enough.

Why Geeky is Sexy

Thank to Linds, I've been forced to ponder the reasons why people think other people are sexy. There are the obvious reasons of course. Some people, Hugh Grant pops into mind, are just to darn cute to be anything but sexy. Then there are people like me that find the geekiest people sexy. Lets face it, Elvis Costello, Greg Proops, Danny Elfman and Vince Clarke give meaning to the word geeky.

So now I must ponder what makes each of these little devils so sexy. This could take days...weeks...months...to really explain, but I'll try to be short sweet and close to the point.

Elvis Costello - First of all, if you don't find that deep and penetrating stare sexy, I feel sorry for you. I could get lost in those pretty puppy dog eyes that hide behind those horn rims. If that doesn't suffice, there's that soft sweet voice that could charm the pants off anyone. He can charm any article of clothing he wants off of me, in case you didn't know. The other important reason for his sexiness is that singing voice of his. You have only to hear a live version of I Want You to be brought to your knees. If you don't believe me, go see the man in concert, it's well worth it.

Greg Proops - Ok 40 pounds ago he was much sexier. Put down the bon bons Greg...step away from the fridge. Still my speccy comedian is sexier than hell. He has a way with facial expressions that makes you want to grab him and squeeze him, or maybe slap him upside the head. Either way, his I don't give a shit attitude, is what makes me adore him. There are other reasons to adore him of course. How many comedians wear 3 piece suits everywhere. Bless him, he's a sharp dressed man. He also has a smile that will melt your heart. Oh and for those of you who don't know it, intelligence is sexy.

Danny Elfman - Ok this man was the geekiest teenager in the world. I tell you, he had to get into a band so that he could get dates. Once you get past the early years of Boingo, Danny just well becomes the sexiest thing on the face of the earth. Some people have bedroom eyes. Danny has a bedroom voice. Listen to the commentary from Edward Scissorhands, that should be enough. For the most part, Danny's appeal to me is in his ability to look innocent while retaining a certain measure of evilness.

Vince Clarke - Ok, I know you are all saying, "How in the hell is he sexy?" First of all when Vince has a full head of hair...whoa baby, he's all that and a bag of chips. Without it, he still looks like your goofey kid brother. He's just so tiny and sweet you have to love him. Plus he so dead pan ...I have this sweet picture of him while they were making the I Love to Hate You video. He's suspended in the air with his synth and his making faces into the camera. You just want to grab him and tickle him to pieces.

So as you can see, everyone can see something sexy in even the least sexy of people. Oh and if you think these 4 are the least sexy..I blow raspberries at you. If you aren't a geek...PAH! I will say this..What do my 4 geeks have in common..Specs! Long live sexy speccy men.

Randomness, My Favorite Thing

Mix cds Mix cds Mix cds.

Why can't I think of a theme? I just sent off a mix cd to Brighid this morning, which I'm sure will astonish and traumatise her. If you want to check it out it's posted at The Art of the Mix site. I've hunted through all the groups at Yahell and I still can't find a good group for making and trading mix cds. It's getting depressing, because I need motivation to make this things. It took me over a week to do Brighid's but hey! I made artwork too! Yay Me!

Pictures of my concubines.

It just dawned on me that I should change the pictures in the corner again. After all you might be sick of seeing the same 4 or so pictures. Though the picture of Simon and Danny stay, cos those are just too yummy to change. I might replace Greg with another concubine, cos I'm not feeling to favorable towards Mr. Proops these days. I'm thinking it's time for Mr. Bowie to have a shot at some screen time here. Anyways, Enjoy a few new pictures

Those Blasted Bootlegs.

I now have 2 packages of cdrs that I still haven't opened. I have cds that I haven't put in my trade page. We won't even mention how many, cos it's really close to 50 or more. Allow me to scream if you will. My Costello collection of shows should be topping at least a hundred or more now. Some day I'll get them all sorted and print artwork etc. When that happens all the ink in America will disappear. I should be printing art for nearly 400 shows! I should be glad I don't usually make artwork for mix cds, unless I'm coereced into doing it.

Enough for now...I must go and work on the story for a bit...
