Coping With The Election Results

Once again...I just feel like we've been screwed.

I can't feel any amount of optimism in this election, only sadness.

I want to do something, but I don't know what.

Our country is broken.

When an election is literally split down the middle and one candidate wins the popular vote and another wins the electoral college (bullshit). This is something that happened only 5 times in our nation's history and one of those times was 16 years ago.

I don't know which of Trump's possible policies scare me the most. His total lack of belief in climate change?

His treatment of women and care for their issues?

His disregard for LGBT rights?

All of this because people think he's going to bring back the Steel Industry?

I just don't see how that can happen.

Why can't we create jobs in renewable energy?

Oh and that wall? Yeah there's no way that is going to happen.

My poor country

What's done is done. I don't think it will take long for people to realize that the emperor has no policy clothes and that all his talk of "draining the swamp" is just hot air. I'm reminded of H.L. Mencken's comment that "Democracy is the theory that the common people know what they want, and deserve to get it good and hard." They're about to get it good and hard, and we'll all have to go along for the ride. Plan now for the next election.
