I saw an article about one of my school teachers who passed away a few weeks ago. She was a lovely lady who did much for the community, and her death was totally unexpected.
I felt a little jealousy when I read about the long lines at her visitation, because I wonder if there's anyone besides my immediate family who are crying for my father.
It is going on two months since dad passed away, and life isn't easier. It is more confusing and frustrating, and I don't know what to do and I feel like I have no one to talk to.
I feel so lost and alone and it hurts so much and I just want my daddy back.

I think the older you are when you die, the more friends have died before you. Thus, less friends at the funeral home.
Exactly what Mike said. Both my in-laws died at 89 and they outlived all their friends. It was only family that was at their funerals.
I'm sorry, Andrea. It does get better but it takes time.
Grief takes its own course for each person and each loss. It's about as tough as things can get for most of us. You have my condolences. All I can suggest is to hold onto your memories of him and to share them with everyone you can. Time will help, but it takes longer than anyone wants.
I don't know what I can say that Mike, Diane, and allen have already said. Grieving is natural and healthy, as it helps us cope with otherwise unbearable loss, but in time the grief subsides and we retain the good memories. Your friends still love you.
