A Very Expensive Casserole

Yesterday was St. Patrick's Day..and I always make a corned beef recipe....

Here is my rather pricey Reuben Casserole Recipe

1 can 27 oz sauerkraut drained
1 lb chipped corned beef
1 stick of butter melted
1 package 12 oz swiss cheese slices
8 oz of Thousand Island dressing
12 slices of rye bread (I like marbled rye) cut into 1 inch cubes

350 degree oven

In a 9 x 13 pan, layer kraut, corned beef, dressing then cheese.

Place bread cubes in a bowl and pour the melted butter over them and toss to coat, then layer over the cheese and press them down.

Bake for 30 - 35 minutes

My absolute favorite meal is Corned Beef and Cabbage (with the corned beef baked in the oven and Agnes's good Bavarian-style cabbage), and a reuben is about the world's best sandwich ... I've got to try this recipe!
