I love my pets...but I swear it costs more to take them to the doctor than it does me!
My little Midnight has a urinary tract problem.
He was on antibiotics for awhile and now they want him on a prescription diet for the rest of his life.
Uh..he's only 4!
Royal Canin Urinary formula costs $35 a bag for 7 lbs!
Seriously!
I want to keep my pet healthy but I also want to...erm..pay my bills!

$5 a pound is a bit much for pet food.
Gah I know! I just went through 2 pet emergencies at the same time and my account was bleeding money. It's crazy. And then they complain that people don't bring their pets in often enough. smh.
Do you have any specialty pet stores in your area that sell high end foods? A lot of the times--at least here--they're really knowledgeable on the different type of foods and can help you find a non vet provided one that is better quality, does what you need and has a better cost. That's what I usually end up doing.
