I Just Don't Understand

Politics hurts my head these days.

I can't understand what is happening in this country. That a leader can talk the way he does and everyone is OK with that.

Bullying and insulting candidates is ok?

What have we become.

I understand that the two parties have never really seen eye to eye, especially in the recent past, but I see each side becoming more polarized and that isn't going to get things done.

Also talking like a low life doesn't work either.

I used to enjoy watching shows like The Daily Show, but now, they just make me sad, because there is nothing about the current administration that can be construed as funny. Terrifying, yes. Funny, no way.

I understand the need and desire to get away from career politicians, but I seriously think our elected officials should have at least 2 brain cells to rub together in order to serve.

Also the "I am the greatest" mentality only worked for Ali, just saying.

Also, you can be a strong individual and still project yourself with dignity.

Dear NRA and all your sheep

I am totally sick of all the commercials saying that the Democrats and Hillary Clinton are going to take away the right to own guns.

Each commercial features a woman who would otherwise be killed without her weapon.

FYI, it would take a constitutional AMENDMENT to get rid of the right to keep and bear arms.

It also takes 7 years to amend the constitution, and that depends on how hard its fought, and we all know this would be fought.

Guess what people.

That means it will never happen. Not even with the most liberal government.

So these ads are nothing but scare tactics.

And with a do nothing congress, regulation can't even happen, so your right to arm yourself as well as the US military isn't going to happen, not matter how many people are killed by mentally unstable people or terrorists.

A Few Things On My Political Rant List

~ People are complaining because President Obama had a marine hold an umbrella over his head when he addressed the country about the IRS scandal.

Uh, he is the leader of the free world, and he does command a certain amount of respect. I'm pretty sure that marine is happier holding an umbrella over the Pres' head than if he were fighting somewhere. Truth be told..what he did was an HONOR!

~ And while were at with imbeciles ranting about the POTUS...the jerks that say they want the same security at their schools that there is in his children's schools.

First...these children belong to the leader of the free world. As much as I don't like saying this....that makes them MORE IMPORTANT than your average kids.

Why?

Oh I don't know...maybe international incidents?

Personally, I really would hate any child of mine to be at a school with armed guards etc. If that's what happens as a result of idiots and the guns that we feel the need to possess in this country, I'd have to say, I'm all for home schooling.

School is prison enough for children, and the security in place at many schools in my area make it more so.

~ And then there is Benghazi...I'm not outraged by this. 4 people died...what about all our soldiers that died in 2 wars we couldn't afford to fight.

But that ends up being like that commercial about how many people die from smoking and second hand smoke. Which is the more evil? It isn't for me to decide..but I'm at a point where I feel our taxpayers dollars are being used to bark up a dead horses ass.

~ The IRS...targeting a political group that thinks their taxed to much when their organizations are filing for Tax Exempt status..while I know this is wrong..does anyone besides me see the irony in this?

Annoying Political Thing

I saw a picture of Bill Clinton and Barack Obama today on Facebook, and some idjit made a comment that these two men were responsible for the deaths of thousands of babies.

This is where I want to stand up and punch people.

Pro Choice does not mean pro abortion. Just as in a perfect world Pro Life would mean life for all things, not just unborn babies.

I'm sure neither man wants to see women having abortions for shits and giggles.

I can't begin to express the anger I feel at people that think that a women raped doesn't deserve the right to terminate the pregnancy or that a mother who might not survive wouldn't have that opportunity if abortions weren't something that could be medically provided to them.

I don't believe abortion should be used as a form of birth control, but there are several instances where it is necessary.

And idjits, women don't wake up and decide to have unprotected sex just so they can have a gov't funded abortion.

And if you are so Pro Life, why are you also Pro Gun. Pro Life should mean anti-death penalty too you know. (And anti-killing period)

Respect ALL LIFE, not just one area.

Oh and what of all the service men that were killed overseas in 2 wars that we didn't necessarily have to fight?
