Oh No Snow

Tonight we are supposed to get the first ...uh...uh..

I can't say the word.

You can't make me type it.

That white fluffy stuff that signifies winter is here.

ARGH!

I'm going to make like a bird and fly south for the winter!

I've Had It With Winter

Yesterday at 3:30 p.m. the sleet started. A few hours later, it changed over to snow. By 11 p.m. the meteorologists were saying the worst was over.

Why then, was my hill not plowed at 7:30 this morning.

Why were the roads horrible at 10:45?

Who dropped the ball on this one?

Did our boroughs and road crews sleep through the weather?

Apparently so.

This was one of the worst commutes I've had in the morning, in ages. There wasn't any need for it to be this bad either. It was a wet heavy snow. The kind that can easily be plowed, if road crews were... GASP...working.

I wish spring would get here...I'm losing my patience with winter

Waiting For Snow

From the looks of things we could have another 3-6 inches of snow tonight into tomorrow.

This is getting old.

I work on a road that never gets plowed at an office where the driveway doesn't get plowed...so this kind of snow = no work for me.

No work for me = no $ for me.

That makes me a very cranky girl, especially when I'm trying to pay my bills.

Plus there are things I'd like to get taken care of.

1. Oil change for the Focus
2. Dentist for me.

Why can't the money fairy stop by?

However today I am going to brace myself for the storm...I'm getting gas in the car when I leave work...stopping at the store for cereal, laundry detergent and donuts and then I'm going to hunker down and watch telly.

That way it won't snow!

I can dream right?

Someone Turn On The Heat

When the temps drop below 30, I start to wonder how people 150 years ago managed?

I know I'm a big baby, but I can't help it, I don't handle cold well.

I prefer heat.

This is going to be a common theme here until I get a nice heater going in my room, which sadly won't be until next month thanks to taxes and Christmas and other not so fun things.

Thank god for fleece blankets and those wonderful robes from Bath & Body. If only I could find a way to keep my  hands warm when I'm in this room.

Its not easy to type while wearing gloves, and have an afghan on my lap...and I don't mean the dog...though I do wish there were one on my lap. I'd be a lot warmer.

I will say it again, I hate winter!!!! And it isn't even winter yet!!

I Hate Winter

It isn't even officially winter and its already freaking cold.

Couldn't we take a year off of this bullshit!

I know Europe just got blasted with the white stuff, and I send my apologies along with a note that says, better you than me.

After the 70 inches of snow we got ...in...erm February, or it seems like most of it came in February, I don't want to see any of this crap.

I want warmth...say about 70 degrees please.

No cold. No snow. No ice.

Now if only the weather would comply with my requests, before I turn into an icicle.

That Feeling Of Impending Doom

I send my sympathies out early for all of my east coast friends that are about to get dumped on again, with a major winter storm.

They say we are only going to get 2-5 inches, which in my opinion is 2-5 inches too many. Most of the NE has seen anywhere from 60 - 80 inches of snow this winter already. Our ski resorts have better conditions then Colorado!

That is wrong on so many levels that its disgusting.

I'm heartily sick of scraping and shoveling and not being able to get to work, because of the weather. During the Snowmageddon, I lost a week's pay because there was no power in my office.

Oye!

What have we done to anger the snow gods this much?

I just keep thinking, there's less than a month until the first official day of spring and it can't get here fast enough for me.

Its Beyond Cold

I'm not looking forward to Thursday or Friday when the temperatures dip below freezing here in PA. I also don't feel jealous of those south of me or in the midwest that are experiencing SNOW in larges amounts right now.

I've got too much to do to have to deal with snow! Cold is enough. I hate being cold. I'm not a huge fan of being too hot either, but cold really makes me miserable.

Have I mentioned I hate winter? Christmas and New Year's Day are about the only two good things about it.

I just want to get my warm fuzzy robe on and stay inside for the next 3 months.

A little hibernation is in order, doncha think?
