I've been busy working lately.

A LOT

About 28-30 hours on top of my 40 at my regular job. It kind of keeps me from having much to say..So let me share some of the photos I've taken in the last week or so as proof I'm still alive

My Favorite Hobby

I think most of my friends remember how much I love photography. My cameras were always a huge part of my life, until I couldn't get out much because of my parents illnesses.

I did vow to start taking more pictures again.

Take a look at my flickr page to see some of the shots of my flower garden from yesterday. I was actually using my Kodak for awhile, rather than my phone. Not all of them are great but I think there are a couple shots of my blooms that look rather nice.

I did get one pretty awesome shot with my phone yesterday when I was walking to my mailbox at work.

I'm not sure what kind of tree this is, but its blossoms are gorgeous!

Beautiful Roses

I went to the Renziehausen Rose Garden yesterday and oh were the roses beautiful. I got to use my new Nikon for the first time for things other than, well the cats and a few flower pictures from my garden.

There's nothing nicer than a walk through a flower garden to calm the nerves and brighten the day. Its a shame I can't go back today, because in the first 3 hours I've been awake things have been a bit topsy turvy.

Peter Noone - Wheeling Island

Oh what a fun show! Peter was in great form. He can still sing and bounce with the best of them and he looks adorable.

He's a very nice guy too.

Photography

I was going through some of my older photos today. I love finding the pictures I took when I first got my digital camera, a very simple point and shoot Kodak Easyshare. I loved that camera to death. My nephew has it now that I've upgraded to 2 Zoom versions of the Easyshare.

It's the one hobby I have that I seriously wish I could do semi-professionally, but then again who wants pictures of animals and cityscapes? I could never do portrait photography. I hate taking pictures of people, mostly because I know most people are like me and they are always dissatisfied with photos of themselves.

I like photos of scenery of things of beauty or interest. But mostly I like to take pictures of my pets! See:

Butterflies

For the last two or three days the area around my office has been surrounded by butterflies. I've seen just about every kind of butterfly that is native to Southwestern PA in the last few days.

I also couldn't resist bringing my camera to work to get one or two or...well 20 or 40 pictures of these beautiful creatures.

The Monarchs seem to be the hardest to photograph. They seemed to sense whenever I was about to snap a picture.

I did manage to get 3 pretty shots though. Most of the pictures that you can see if you go to my flickr page are of a lovely black butterfly and a yellow and black butterfly.

Yes, I'm easily amused. Stop laughing and go look at the pictures!
