Internet Woes

With the wonderful storms we've been having lately, our internet connection has been lousy.

I can't get anything done online especially on blogger because every 10 minutes my connection is local only.

It is getting old.

So if I disappear for days at a time..it has nothing to do with life craziness..well only partially, but it has a lot to do with my crazy internet connection.

 ~ Why people are so upset about the whole Gay Marriage issue. Seriously people, it doesn't affect you if you are heterosexual. If your marriage is happy..yay you. Why can't they have a loving marriage? It is love. FYI that knows no bounds. One would think that lawyers would be all for this, because with more marriages...there might be more divorce which would mean more work for them.

~ For the people upset that there's going to be a same sex couple on Good Luck Charlie. Grow up and put your bigotry away. You don't want your children to see that? Well what about that couple who adopted a child that's in the same grade as your kid? Guess what? They are going to see it anyway. It is time for tolerance not hatred.

Idiots!

What people do in the privacy of their own bedrooms is none of the world's business, as long as it is between two consenting adults.

Now for some non rainbow rants..

Vet bills are insane!

We now treat our pets for cancer...well if you can afford that. And because of that, people will low incomes are less likely to get their animals to the vet. 40 dollars just to walk into the office! and shots $10 and up...on avg a vet bill is the same as me going to the doctor!

WTF

I blame this on flea meds too...because I feel..deep down putting what is essentially a pesticide on your dog or cat, is most likely  what is causing the cancers...but that's my conspiracy theory. I really just don't like the idea of putting something that kills bugs on my pet.

I can't believe how freaking hot it is.

We don't have central air, so if you don't see me around it is because of two things.

1. I've melted into a pile of goo.

2. The heat has made me so sick that I can't sit at the computer at all.

Dad is home from the hospital.but I'm not sure that with this heat, that is a good thing.

Since last week was pretty sad for me, I decided to go all funny cat toons this week.

I Thought I Heard Snoring

One of my kitties is hiding so well that the only way I could tell that she was in the room is from her snoring.

It was driving me bonkers for over an hour, because I couldn't tell where she was.

Gizmo is sitting on top of my VCR on the bottom shelf of my entertainment stand.

I have been randomly watching older episodes of New Doctor Who for the last few days and there's something about your On Demand that bugs me.

You don't have all of season 6!

WTF

You have all of the specials from David Tennant's last run...including The End Of Time. You have all of season 5....so I could watch and cry along with Vincent and The Doctor AGAIN, and you have all of season 7, which wasn't so good.

But season 6?

You only have the first 7 episodes.

Damn you, On Demand! Damn you to hell!

Randomosity

~ I've been watching random Doctor Who episodes on On Demand, because I'm suffering serious, Doctor Who withdrawal. Today's episode, The Doctor's Wife. I really really loved it!

~ Dad will be in the hospital at least through Friday.

~ My sister is taking next week off to help out...not that it is going to help me any at all. She's just going to be there when I'm not. Whoopteefreakingdoo. I'd like to take a week off. Grrrrr

~ I'm going to be part of the book tour for a Doctor Who book! Woo to the hoo! Oh and one for one of the Monk books. Oh how I miss Monk!

~ I want to live someplace where there's actually a spring and fall. I'm really sick of having just winter and summer. My body hates extreme temperatures. My body also hates the lack of air conditioning.

~ Squee for my favorite TV Land shows coming back this week.

~ Am I the only one that adores watching reruns of That 70s Show? Donna and Amy Pond look like sisters!

Its Been A Long Weekend

Dad's still in the hospital.

He's had two COPD episodes this weekend. One on Friday after his therapy and one today after lunch.

I really wish I had some time off....

I really wish a lot of things right now.

Like a reset button that could change my life.

I'm exhausted...and no one cares and that just sucks

Its All A Bit Crazy

Things are really getting to be a bit much for me. I just don't have time. That sucks, because I have so much to say, but no time to sit down and type everything out.

Dad is in the rehab part of the hospital now and getting exercise twice a day. His spirits are good, which is nice.

I'm losing my mind and may end up on the 2nd floor of the hospital hugging myself in a white coat.

To make things worse I'm in one of those moods where I just can't stand people, or rather stupid people...or maybe just people that say stupid things.

Tomorrow I have to take the remaining 2 "Muckers" to the vet. Which means my afternoon after work is going to be absolutely insane, but the kitties need their shots so they can have their surgery in 2 weeks.

Fun times.

Oh and today I'm going to be looking for a new recliner for dad when he comes home and I think we're going to go for a good Flexsteel since one of or local stores carry them, and well it is just easier that way.

Worst Weekend Ever

~ My dad is in the hospital with a broken pelvis. He's going to be in for 9 more days for rehab.

~ One of my kitties passed away. He was only a year old. I am beyond heartbroken. My nephew scattered rose petals over his grave and put pine cones and branches to mark where we laid our little guy to rest.

There's something terribly wrong when something young, a child and animal...passes. It is too soon.

Perhaps what they say is true, god calls back those who are good quicker...

Blinky was such a good little boy.

I Feel Disconnected

I've come to the conclusion that blogging is a dead art form, unless you are some high profile person. My book blog has followers, but since I'm not a big one on giveaways, I just don't get comments, unless I'm taking part in a blog tour.

Maybe it is because I read some weird stuff.

Sure I read girly books. (I'm a girl, m'kay) But I don't read romance, chick lit etc exclusively. That would be no fun.

I think that might be my problem there, because so many book blogs are geared to one genre.

~sigh~

And then there's the blogging community in general.

It seems like everyone is disappearing.

Facebook is the root of all evil.

There are so many people I got to know thanks to blogging, but they gave it up in the past years, and now I've started to lose touch.

That makes me sad.

Bugs Find Me Tasty

Its June 2nd and already 3 insects have taken huge chunks out of my flesh.

Of course, none of them are in pleasant spots. The more miserable I can be made, the better.

~ Matt Smith is leaving Doctor Who...I'm devastated...that is all.

~ A group of kids under 12 broke into my grandmother's house (my house that I haven't sold yet) and tried to run off with her knick knacks.

What the hell is this world coming to?

~ To go along with my cold rants.....It is too fucking hot and I'm sick of it!

~ Now that there isn't any Doctor Who until Nov....I have nothing to watch on the weekends, and I can't find a cool spot to read...ARGH!

~ There's going to be a property tax reassessment in our county. Not looking forward to this at all. I can't afford grandma's house to start with.
