Missing My Furbabies
Have you ever had a pet that has crossed the rainbow bridge that just really breaks your heart, in such a way that every time you think of them you cry?
Last year, I lost three kitties. Two were from Miss Itchy's litter, Blinky and Mucker and the third was my Bootsie (aka Bootsietardalopasaurus).
Bootsie was invisacat. She loved hiding. She was a bit shy, but full of love for me.

Then there were my little Muckers..Blinky and Mucker. Both had a form of Feline Leukemia that took them from me shortly after they turned 1 year old
My little ones, I will never ever forget you.

Let The Ranting Continue
~ I'm sick of hearing about 50 Shades Of Grey...they movie. I could almost deal with hearing about the books, which don't interest me, but the movie is just meh.
~ Unless you or your loved one is ready for the grim reaper, do not go on hospice, because if you have any other medical emergencies, you will be sucked dry by hospital bills.
~ My cute Irish boys are coming to Pittsburgh in Sept. I hate not being able to go anywhere
~ Crossbones is cancelled before I could even catch up with watching it. Damn you NBC. How can you cancel a show with John Malkovich? HOW!
~ So sick of hearing about everyone's vacations when I can't go anywhere. Yes, I'm a jealous bitch, no, I can't help it.
~ My nephew doesn't know how to pick up after himself. He's getting a bit too old for this bull shit.

Another Reason Walmart Sucks
I like to think I'm a good cook.
However, all cooks are only as good as their ingredients.
Which brings me to my rant today.
Walmart's meat department is lousy.
I bought a package of chicken breasts, so I could make slow cooker sweet and sour chicken. In the morning I cut the meat up, so that my nephew could toss it into the pot for me, since chicken cooks faster than roast and it would have to go on while I was at work.
Cutting the meat was tough.
Then came eating the meat.
Blergh!
It was terrible.
My sauce was good, with the lovely green peppers and pineapple. My rice was yummy too.
The chicken was tough and just plain yucky.
I stopped buying stew meat there, because it was always tough.
Now I'm totally done.
I'm sick of them talking about how they have low low prices.
Thank you, no!
I'll stick with Aldi, Giant Eagle and Foodland, because I'd rather pay a little more (and from my shopping trip, they weren't all that low on their prices) and get quality food.
Grrr

Cat Thursday
Sister Please had her kittens, but I don't know where she hid them. I only know this because she showed up on our porch today significantly thinner.
Hopefully the neighbors will start taking care of her and her babies.
But lets have some sillies now.
And on a slightly more serious note

Bucket List
When you sit around your house all day taking care of people, your mind starts to wander.
When you hit 40 and you feel like you've done nothing with your life, your mind goes on vacation.
My mind wants to go a lot of places, but most aren't possible now.
I have started bucket list of places I want to go before I die.
Thousand Islands, NY: I want to explore all the gorgeous castles there.
Put In Bay, OH: I read a book set in this town this year, and it looks like a place I'd love to visit.
Chicago, IL: My other mother (my online bff for the last 10 + years) lives there.
Blackwater Falls State Park, WV (I love waterfalls)
Natural Bridge in Virginia
I'd also love to see the New River Gorge Bridge in OH and the Y Bridge in Zanesville, OH
Tours of the Wineries in PA
If I would somehow manage to fall into buckets of cash....I'd add London to my list too.

Diary Of An Exhausted Caregiver
Here are a few random things I've learned in the last few years taking care of my parents. It is something everyone should have in the back of their heads, unless they have shittons of money and can afford a personal nurse or a great assisted living home.
1. Wiping adult bums is a lot more painful than a baby's backside.
2. Heath Insurance companies are all asshats.
3. Hospice is not fun and some of the nurses are damn annoying. (Other nurses and aids are angels)
4. Check your life at the door, you won't have one for awhile. (There will be times when you feel guilty for wishing you had one)
5. No one seems to understand what you are going through.
6. Sleep is a thing of the past.
7. It is never easy to deal with a loved one saying that they should be dead, when all you want is more time.
8. Your house will never be clean.
9. Your nerves will be shot.
10. Respite from caregiving is often not an option.
That said....I hope that none of you have to go through this. Watching a loved one in their last days, no matter if it is days, weeks or months....is a terrible thing to do.
